Ok im not even going to attempt to guess whats wrong with your disc but there is a different way to get the game. First go to the bottom of the page and click the Stardock Symbol on the right (you guess it the S).Then go to downloads and download StarDock central once you have it installed and such register your Sins serial (by way of the Tools,Register Product) and you'll have access to the downloadable version of the game.It will take probably 45 min-2 hours depending on your int

Memory failure would cause BSOD STOP errors.
Yes I know i have gone through things myself.I've seen tho a BSOD start 10 minutes or more after it hang crashes and it turned out in that in that instance that it was a memory failure. If its not any of these its a safe bet its the vista hang everyone else has

I'll suggest what i suggested to another guy whos game wouldnt install. Go to the bottom of the page, click stardocks symbol, download stardock central, register the games serial with SDC and download it directly from there. If that doesnt work do what Jon said but be aware that you'll lose all your data too not just the old owners.

It tells them what files, code and etc were being used when it crashed. It'd basicly tell them if its part of the game that just got crazy somehow or if its outdated drivers or anything else.
I agree that the minidumps create a serious limitation to the game. I made a map using Sins Plus 1.2 worlds and was soooo stoked to play it, but I can only get about 5 minutes into the game in multiplayer mode before it crashes and minidumps. My wifes laptop lasts a little bit longer, but not much, and it doesn't seem to matter which one of us hosts the game. If I play the game alone, with only other AI players to fill up the slots, it seems to run fine.So far the minidump issue has only

Im thinking somehow your disc may have become corrupted or your CD drive didnt read it correctly. You may wait to try to download Star Dock Central (can be found by clicking the Starodck symbol at the bottom of page) install it and register your game serial and download it directly from stardocks servers.
I believe the Nvidia driver crashing issue has been resolved internally and will be included in a future driver update.
For Vista: Nvidia has fixed that problem many times and its always come back.
