wich is a good thing really... carriers still remain a potent unit... 4 advent carriers totaly own 15 cobalts.. even tough cobalts should have a high damage vs carriers advent squads take them out to fast so carrier-kiting is ineffective... just eep them behind the fleet, turned around ready to jump out, any damaged carrier should be evacuated >.> ..wait KOL battleship is faster then LRF??i thoguht they had identical speeds<

[/quote] thats what i meant.. if the abilities range would be identical to bombing range, as soon as you got that technology it wouldnt be able to cast it anymore, thus the reason why the ability has a longer range then maximum bombardment range and (i guess) the reason why the visual effects dont work proper

Magnetize on a vasari starbase can be pretty evil...... i barely use them maybe 1 out of 20 games only usefull when your capital ships are elsewhere, but even then i prefer just adding an assault capital ship ... becuase if your cap ships are to occupied it means you have to few nice mini-tactic is to build 2/3 siege frigates and send them behind enemy lines enemy will have to start sending ships away or build turets... nice tactic to make your oponenet use cash but doesnt work
