Hi I use the Dreadnought and as many javelis and cobalt ships possible without destroying the income rate. The key is balancing stratagy of rush attacks with hundreds of ships and flank attacks on bases and helpless fleets in docks.thanks Econimist
Did you just tank yourself? As for my ship combos, i'm still working on that, trying to find the right balance for a well rounded force and the biggest band for your buck.

Zooming to the center of the screen would be a pain in the ass. I want a hotkey to disable the "lock onto" feature but still zoom to where my cursor is pointed like in supreme commander.
Each shipyard will produce a ship, thus 4 shipyards will produce more then one would. If you do not need to build a fleet fast, then it's a waste to have more then one. But if you need reinforcements NOW, then this is a very good idea. From what i can tell, having more then one shipyard will not make the individual shipyards produce faster.
Whenever you zoom in using the scroll wheel it automatically zooms in on a ship if its in in a certain radius around the cursor. It gets bad when you have a solar system with major trade/refinery ships, or in fleet battles where you need to zoom in on a area to micro something. Needs tweaking. -edit- A hotkey to disable this should solve the problem. -edit-
I'm hoping Kruelgor the Great's plan fails, last thing we need is for the Koreans to be able to do a zealot rush they are so damn good it.
Isn't there enough Star Wreck threads. Why did you create another one? Here's an idea. If we can get enough people to play the Star Trek mod then that will take more players away from the online game and we can wreck the multiplayer experience, hence the term Star Wreck.I don't see anything wrong with the actual game that you have to go and change things up. I might try your mod in 3 years, but first I'm going to have some fun with the actual game.
Speak for yourself, i
-You can hold your cursor over the research item to see what is required to access it, such as x number of military/civilian research stations. -Your first capital ship is FREE, you just need to build the capital ship yard. -Bribe the pirates, it's in the tab next to research/under bounty. You will see a timer, when it reaches 0 you will receive a message (sometimes you won't notice), it will flash read and you have only about a minute to out bid everyone else. -Ship i
It has gotten to the point where i need to go 3 hard AI vs me to have a challange, even then the retardness of the AI takes some of that fun away. So i started to wounder, is there any unusual, weird, extraordanary or fun things to try in sins? Something for s***s and giggles? Please do share if you know of something unsually fun and would earn you the title of "Nut Job" if you ever tried it online. I'm drawing a blank here on ideas.
Did you delete the folder C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Sins of a Solar Empire after you uninstalled? Could be something that was left over that was not copied over during the re-install.
Not to be sexist, but I doubt there will be any; if there are any, 90% of it will be guys pretending to be girlsheh... as strange as it sounds there probably are people who do that.. hilarious but very strange... especially in mmorpgs. guys playing as women characters.. still dont get that.
There is a difference between pretending to be a woman and playing using a female character. Some people prefer to stare at a womans ass all day rather then a mans ass, that and i
ORB was one of the most horrible RTS games i've ever played... Do not pay more then $5 for it.
To anyone planning on making a all female clan, get them to hop on Team Speak and say high so you know for sure. Below link is SD's TS server https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=402&aid=167279
Sins is not everything to everyone. I happen to dislike ham.
Outnumbered, they will die in a blaze of glory as one would expect. Note that Fighters do anti-light damage and thus do more damage to LRM's then bombers would.

If the tutorials are not working properly (you do not see any text) update to the latest version (v1.02) or switch to the 1024x768 resolution to fix this, you do not need to keep the resolution on 1024x768 to play the game (unpatched) outside the tutorial.
-Do the tutorials. -Manuals location, C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Sins of a Solar Empire -Don't have more then 2 planets with negative income at any one time, you increase their income with the infrastructure upgrade IIRC (it increases the population). -You can view you credit/metal/crystal income by holding your courser over the boxes showing how much you currently have. -Research whatever you are lacking, but not to the extent that you are low on
1- You have a choice, DRM or register for non vital (as in you can still play the complete game without it) updates and content. The CD and digital download has NO DRM or copy protection what-so-ever. And the registering system is very flexible, heck you can back up the game by downloading it from SC and burning it onto a CD once you register your serial number, and i would assume that would be the updated copy. SC does limit how many computers the game can be installed on
Sins is very flexable in how you want to play. You can create your 100 hour game by making a big enough map. There is the galaxy forge that lets you make pre-definded maps that you place everything just where you want it. Then you have the map editor in the game itself that lets you chose the scale and what to include, but with adjustable randomness (eg- setting 1 min/4 max terran planets in a solar system). Only problem with a map big enough to last for 100 hours is that you will need
What would be really nice would be the ability to select a fleet and set a priority list for the fighters and the bombers which they will work through. Targeting support cruisers for example, and/or decide if you want them to ignore siege frigates, go all out for caps, stuff like that.
And sales figures you're willing to share yet?
One good aspect of the current system is that it's more frustrating to a person who makes a "newbie" game but is actually a pro and likes to beat on newbies. But there is still plenty of retards who can't accept anything but the enemy laying down and die, and thus quit at the first set back leaving the other person with either a somewhat pointless game (you started a MP game, not a single player) or a minor stain on his record, which is worthless you are playing against clans or somethi
The AI doesn't always respond to a pirate raid, i've seen one fleet going back to the pirate base while another is headed to attack another planet. Surviving pirates will return to the pirate base and reinforce the pirate fleet. Also make use of support ships, i had returning armada and sent in a fore without support ships (you have to actually build support ships) and it got chewed up good.
Troop transports for plantary invasion, this would really increase the immersion of the game IMHO. Spies, i loved spies in Hegemmonia: Legions of Iron.
Since starting structures and ships have been covered I'll give my 2 cents on research. Note I'm referring to human vs AI. Every map is different, random being the most varied for obvious reasons. Each race has it's own tech and style of play, put this together with the varied recourses and confrontations and there is no set path to the top of the tech tree. Whatever you are lacking, through some research at it. That is basically it. Though shiny armor lvl 2 won'
