The Money Guided Kamikaze Screw-Ups, i see them as a nuisance at worst, and free experience for capital ships at best, i often don't even bother taking out the pirate base. Back when i was new to this game i lost asteroid planets orbital structures to pirates, but since defenses had destroyed their siege frigates, they just left, and thats the worst they've managed to do to me. On some cases they have been able to destroy some AI's colonies, but they have no change against moderately defended

Now if these games become available in EU and Valve realizes that 1€ != 1$, this will be great!
I've had this happen before, during and after 1.1, but you can set what ever resolution you want by editing "user.setting" file (any text editor will do). The file is in directory "C:\Users\ \AppData\local\Ironclad games\Sins\settings", this is in vista, i don't remember where it is in XP, but propably something similar, and you need to set hidden files and folders visible to see AppData folder. I think there are separate lines width and height that you can use to s
FF3 acts sometimes weird too, especially on extremely long post. On topic however, i've played the game since release and hadn't noticed those engagement range buttons. I've just disabled auto-attack and let strikecraft deal with mines with the help of a scout. Reminder to self: R-T-F-M!
Very true, but the P5K-E is starting to make the lesser geeks smile too :)
That is indeed a creepy, unsettling conversation. "Our numbers will darken the sky of every world", it'll be quite a fight in the end of ME3.
I have a 2.6 Ghz Core 2 duo, 2GB ram, and a GF 9600GT 512MB, and the game ran without a hitch with everything maxed @ 1366x768 resolution (runnng Vista, even). And Kitkun reminded me about one more thing i like about this game, (most of) the achievements have rewards for achieving them, like the spectre weapons for "Rich!" achievement, instead of just lenghtening ones "e-member" [e digicons][/e]
I have an ASUS P5K-E that uses the Intel P35 chipset, that supports up to 8GB of memory. It uses DDR2 memory, and the box says "native DDR2 1066 support". It has been working really nice with a Core 2 Duo and a GF 9600GT. It's not exactly cutting edge technology, and the chipset could be considered old, but i got mine with only a bit over 100 € (last summer).
I re-played this through last weekend, and was reminded what a great game it is. It looks and sounds great (after the patch), and i'm one of the lucky ones when it comes to bugs: only one General Protection Fault during the playthrough. Main quest was interesting enough, and thankfully didn't end in a cliffhanger. The ending strongly hints for sequels, but doesn't scream for them. Also, the good/evil part is very well done, you don't end up as a saint or devil, unlike in Fallout 3 Th
It's not mandatory. Stop going ape over a beta.
The "enable/disable european shop beta" selection is gone, so apparently that's not the case anymore. Great job supporting the local retailers, Valve [e digicons][/e] I'll do my impulse shopping through Impulse from now on. Or would, if it had anything that interest me, the selection is quite poor, im afraid :(
I thought of this recently too. There have been some amazing maps that i'd like to play again, but have long since lost the replays due to the betas :(
I just got my first minidump, ever. What should i do with it?
That never happend in sins, though it's common on other RTS's. Alt + click is unit type selection.
Nice [e digicons][/e] And with the expansions, Sins has a shot for a few awards next year too [e digicons][/e]
Far Cry 2, a nominee for most innovative?? That game is a half-empty sandbox, filled with fire-ants (analogies gone wild [e digicons][/e] ) Nice to see that Dead Space was nominated, it's quite good actualy. Red Alert 3, it's fun and funny, but not exactly "RTS of the year" material. And finally, congratulations to Ironclad for making a game (nearly) everyone loves [e digicons][/e]
Started a new game with Vasari and noticed that clicking on capital ship build icon with no capital ship factory results in text and sound clip referring to frigate factory. Possibly because their order has changed?
Just started downloading! 91 MB @ 100 kb/s shouldn't take too long. Ironclad keeps impressing me with these small download sizes :)
Quoting ToJKa, reply 5Still got nothing either, it's getting close to midnight here... I ordered on 19th, so i guess i should just give up for today. Just do like I plan on doing and pull an all-nighter. our HEALTHY Sins (ie....ENTRENCHMENT) addiction calls for this!!!
It's hardly an addiction when i haven't gotten it yet [e digicons]:P[/e] , but i'm considering it. I should work on
Quoting Cabezone, reply 12 So am I reading that correctly, there's no single player portion for the beta? I think thats what it means too. You will of course get much better balancing from the online players than single player.
I undestood it means that you won't be able to play multiplayer games with people without Entrenchment. Well since some people have it already
Of all the expansions I've played, they always have their own icon, if it did not, that would be just dumb to do that.
Yes, but this is a "mini-expansion", not a whole different game, like, for example, C&C expansions.
I'd imagine Entrenchment is integrated to main sins game, with a new option in "Game Options" to enable or disable Entrencment features. But that is obiviously speculation. Still some hours to go..
Great news! Time to do the timezone calculation again: if it's released at 4.00 PM, time here (GMT +2) would be 11.00 PM. Considering the time it'll take downloading and installing (how big is it anyway?), it's quite unlikely i'll have the time to see a starbase tomorrow. Stupid timezones! :) Oh, and i love you guys, too!
I remember playing sequels that made me wonder if the writers had even read a plot synopsis of the previous game [e digicons];P[/e] , but that was back on my console gaming days. There is one in Red Alert 3: (Could be considered spoilers about intro video)If the soviets killed Einstein, how did the allies develop Chronosphere technology!? There seems to be only one genius in that game, and he works for the soviets. Then again, with all the time travelling and potential paradoxes, noth
Since the 1.12 patch was released last week, my educated quess (read: wild speculation) is that the beta will begin this week. Atleast i hope so, the christmas eve is the wednesday of next week already!
