This is such a good idea for multiplayer games that I'm going to bump it one last time to see if it gets any attention. Peace!
14. Capital ships push back culture, if your culture cannot penetrate (but is not pushed back), chances are they have a lot of capital ships in that territory.
That's a good one to know. I like that one. Great list!
And if u don't know, SD is working on MMORTS right now.
Neat!
Vinraith isn't the multi-player type. I'm not, either
Is that why your profile image is a computer disconnected from the Internet? Funny. Yep, I've just never been into single player games because the AI is never any good. There is no comparison to human intelligence when it comes to complex strategy. Not yet anyways, at least not available to the general public. Government maybe...maybe.
With 1.1 announced and all would it make the game better to have an option of Invading the planet as opposed to orbital bombardment. I think it would give the game even more options on how to take a planet. The benefits of sending troops down would be it leave some of the planets various upgrades intact thus making it cheaper to make a working economy all you have to do then is to move. A temporary boost in Culture and allegiance as word of the takeover is made known. Possible detractions
Yes yes... Dance puppets DANCE!
Haha! funny
No but I mod enough and have seen enough forums that organization is very good. Also I like to hide my age so no one thinks not to listen to me because I'm "too young" or something.... age is no factor when the idea is sound.
It's actually a good idea, just don't think it's enforceable though.
I noticed all the posts here are hard to find.In order to make finding certain posts or topics easier, start your post with different categories in order for certain people to find certain posts. For example:You just made a mod, so you would name your post:[MOD] Name of postAlso, you may want to include "TC" if your mod is a total conversion mod.You want some help with modding or starting to mod. Then:[TIPS] Name of postThe post name should be clear with what you need help with...You have
Wow, that was fast. I didn't think there would be a demo release for another few weeks.
Yes, that was fast. I'll send a message to my 200 MAGOG members over at WiC to try the demo. Thanks!
because each trade port gives you more money while you only need one media hub to get the allegiance bonus
That's good information to know, but I'm not so sure if a single media hub can hold up against an onslaught of culture. Can it? You are right though, 1 media hub is better than none for sure. I normally build 3 to 5 culture structures on my outer-perimeter planets and build trade ports on my inner-planets.
Why not play online? Seriously. It's like you bought counterstrike and decided to pick a fight saying it sucks because the bots don't have anything interesting to say.
Haha! Exactly, but I think it stems from the old GalCiv crowd. That game was a very popular single player game. I owned both of them. If my Internet ever goes down then I will definitely play Sins on single player mode, but it's just too fun playing against real people online.
An option inside the Interface Display settings labeled "Display Decimal Values" would quickly correct that issue. Not to mention allow flexibility. Personally, Decimals in game would be heavenly as I'm quite sensitive to Damage Values. You can blame MMOs for that.
That would be nice. If the developers displayed such information in the game then I would gladly update my chart. I'm not going to get decimal data from a 3rd party website, however. My information comes dir
Perhaps all of us sensible people should let this thread die and this troll will go bother another forum.
Thanks for your friendly comments. Come back soon.
Just curious as to why you would list "Counter-Strike: Source" and "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" In your forums along with your RTS games then?
That was at the request of [MAGOG]Striker because he likes to play them. Unofficially, sure, but officially no.
As to good single player games, I could provide you a list a mile long but it wouldn't serve any purpose in this thread.
A mile long, huh? I don't think you can name even one good single-player PC game that didn't require patches.
Oh my goodness. Kruelgor, go back to Halo.
Sorry, we're an RTS clan only. No shooter games here. Thanks for your friendly comments. Come back soon.
Kruelgor could fix that by posting a big red warning sign that the date is rounded at the top of his page
It already says that. It says "AVG" short for average, just like it says in the game. That's not a bad idea, however. I will post a link on my website to the detailed decimal version when I get home tonight. Thanks for the idea. Take care!
In multiplayer games, I noticed a lot of people neglect culture structures in favor of trade ports. What are your opinions on this? Here is my opinion: Having lots of money from trade is good, but it can be a deadly gamble. If you're spending most of your resources on researching and building trade ports then you're probably neglecting the size of your early-phase ship fleet. This could be doom for your empire if you're attacked early in t
moron. liar. fraud.
Liar about what? I do have a secret weapon, well it's actually a secret tactic which gives me a huge jump start at the beginning of the game, but I can't disclose it. I'll disclose it maybe in 6 months. I'll give you a hint though. It deals with the keyboard configuration. I don't want people using it against me! It's too good.
Some of these tests aren't done very well. Sending an equal number in cost and supply of LRMs and Disciples against each other is ignoring a big factors, time, research, and capital ships. Mostly time, arguably the most important resource.
Make no mistake about it, an equal number of LRMs will defeat a Disciple fleet. The trick is to immediately start producing the Disciples as soon as the game begins. The TEC player must wait until he creates a military lab, but will l
why didn't you just, a long time ago, admit that you hadn't been aware of the damage/armor type chart in the game? you were clearly ignorant of the fact that LRM's deal double damage to Light Frigates. its fine to be ignorant of something if you come to learn the truth in the end. what's not fine is to be a deluded liar, which is what you are at this point.
What? I'm still trying to figure out your point?
If it's not a good single player game, it's a waste of my money to buy.
Are you saying Sins is not a good single player game? What game do you consider a good single player game?
HuntingX,Was there a purpose to this rhetorical crap other than to clog the forums with more shit? With this thread you're no better than that of which you speak!the Monk
Thanks Monk, but they truly don't bother me. They're like flies on a rhino. They're not going to hurt me. I do agree this thread does waste space and people's time to focus on more important matters. Personally, I prefer to talk about the game. Peace!
Why would I trust Ironclad enough to buy an expansion when they shipped this game with broken, unplayable...bla bla bla
Where have you been? Every major popular pc game ALWAYS requires patches to fix things. That's the just the nature of games. You should be grateful that SD provides patches and will continue to provide patches. I know I'm grateful. By the way, the diplomacy is not broken. Maybe you should go play CIV4 or something.
By the way, I've been clobbering you guys for the past few nights under a SMURF name. Funny stuff...
