So, where's the replay you said you would post?
You just read my mind. I'll be sure to save some of these replays, but I'm hesitant to show you all my secrets. I wont disclose my "secret weapon" that gives me a considerable edge, but I will be more than happy to post a few replays soon. I'll be on tonight and this weekend. So, I should have some replays up by end of night Sunday. Later!
For some reason there is a gross conceptual error about the way a stat system works. If you don't have a game mode that RANDOMLY matches players, stats are pointless. I could buy two games and play against myself all day to get my 100% win percentage. Don't even bother keeping stats unless you look at adding in a server hosted match up system. I really think it is what this game needs. I have the game shelved until I see some promising news on this.
I disagree. Stat
Standard copout reply. Too technical? Too bad, this is a deep technical game.
Naaa...Just play the game and have fun. I leave the computations up to the devs.
unny, I never got the idea that Advent were very good at having an economy, unlike the TEC. And while you upgrade your fleet capacity to spam those Disciples, you dip your economy even further down the drain. You said it yourself... you need to maintain an almost 2:1 ratio, even though they have the same supply cost, and this is where it ultimately fails. Also, in order to spam Disciple vessels without ever stopping (not taking into account upgrades/research/etc), it requires at
Well, this thread proves to me that this forum doesn't have moderators, but that's my only thought on the subject. Have fun!
Don't worry. I've done this before. Within time they will all turn around. Many of them will be my legionaries. They just don't know it yet.
This seems like a good opportunity to promote the Military Alliance of Gog. We are an RTS clan and we will be playing all the major RTS games to be released for the next 40 years. LOL! We have TeamSpeak In-Game voice chat which is really really cool. We don't care how good or bad you are, because we will all get better with experience. [link="http://www.MagogClan.com"]www.MagogClan.com[/link] or If you
Please Kruelgor, dont disappeare on me.You are the funniest guy on this forum.
No worries my friend. There were always a handful of folks that tried to run me off the WiC forums too, but they failed. I'm not going anywhere. I'm here to stay. Cheers!
I have a really hard time figuring out if Kruelgor is a long time troll, or just an idiot.I know from my clanmates' experiences that he and his clan are awful at Sins. That's not really a debateable issue. The real question is whether or not he believes any of the crap he spouts out. It's almost comical the number of inconsistencies and contradictions in every post he makes, as well as the shameless bootlicking to anyone connected with Stardock. But is he actually being serious when he says
This game is definitely not your traditional RTS (real-time strategy) game. Traditional RTS games limit the scope to single map battles, while Sins incorporates both single map battles and [link="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_strategy"]Grand Strategy[/link]. HOI2 (Hearts of Iron 2) attempted the RTS Grand Strategy idea but failed miserably. Sins has done a fantastic job, although I believe there should be an option to add a TIMER to the game and a TOTAL SCORE for each pla
The tech tree is easily ignored, for the most part.
Ha! Are you serious? The tech tree is extremely vital if you want to win a game. Perhaps you're speaking from a single player point of view. I don't know much about that. I only play multiplayer.
You acquire a planet, click 3 or 4 times, and then can largely ignore it until either the end of the game or it is attacked.
3 or 4 clicks? Why do you grossly underestimate? You wo
Black Market. Trade Ports -> Cash -> Buy Crystal.
Wrong. Not unless you can do that very quickly in the game. In the later stages of the game, neither LRM spamming or Disciple spamming is effective. I don't think you're going to be able to buy many trade ports that early in the game, and if you are then that means you neglected your fleet and will not be able to compete against my VERY large disciple fleet early in the game. Basically, if you're spending all y
So is this an admission that in 1 vs 1 your strategy doesn't work? Because it sure looks like it. Otherwise whats the problem?
Before you jump on the "Let's Kill Kruelgor" band wagon, maybe you should know what you're talking about. Hahaa...good try though. I know there's a lot of messages in this thread, but I've already stated numerous times the LRM is better than the Disciple 1v1. What I've been saying is that Disciple SPAMMING can neutralized LRM s
Well, the Military Alliance of Gog (MAGOG) gives SINS 5 stars out of 5 stars, Two thumbs up, an Oscar, Golden Globe Award, an Academy Award, and most importantly Gog's Stamp of Approval. I'm still trying to get my 200 members over at WiC (World in Conflict) to get their behinds over here and buy the game because Sins is better!
7+2=14?9+2=18?Double means times two, not plus two. Which is what the advent hanger squadron increase tech does...adds 1 drone per level with two levels.
We must be playing different games then. On my game, the technology doubles the number of hanger ships.
It's pretty early to be announcing or at the very least suggesting an Expantion when there still things to be done.
This game is going to have a very long life expectancy. If you get bored of the game playing as one faction, then it's time to learn how to play as another faction. One thing they could do to really extend the life expectancy of the game is to allow user-created maps (galaxy forge) to be easily downloaded/hosted in the game. Fireglow's Sud
Of course, you would need a TOTAL SCORE for each player to determine the winner if you're going to have a timer.
What do you guys think about having a TIMER option? You can set the game to end after so many minutes or hours. This would be especially useful for multiplayer games when you know you only have 2 hours to play, for example. It would also help players to choose different strategies based on how long the game will be. If you know the game is only going to be an hour long then you know not to try the culture strategy. This would also reduce the number of disconnected games
They can simply add a TIMER option which the host can choose.
BTW, Kruelgor, sorry for calling you out. Your original response, while a bit harsh, was in fact the proper response to the hatin' that was going on in that post
No worries ob1_shinobi. Everyone loves to hate Kruelgor. It's my trademark. Peace!
You are wise. Your fleet is mighty. Your technology is advanced. Your planets are plenty. You are a god. Congratulations! You can uninstall SOSE now and start creating life.
The almighty Gog created life, I'm just a peon servant of his. Peace!
I will be playing many hours this weekend for anyone who would like to play. Add me to your XFIRE. My xfire username is Kruelgor. Cheers!
Well if Tec player is smart is being over runned by defense frigs you only need couple heavy cruisers to wipe the defense frigs off the map. You need to react quickly to the situation or say goodbye to your fleet.
Those are pretty tough, but when I encounter them they are too late too few. I eat them too. Besides, my more advanced ships being pumped out too.
You do realize that 1 armor is just +5% hp right? heh.Disciple and LRM supply cost is 1:1, how are you producing 2:1? Cost for cost, you get 3:4 ratio of LRM vs disciple. Can 40 disciple beat 30 LRM? I don't think so!...So cost for cost, disciple lose. Supply for supply, disciple REALLY REALLY lose. And supply is important .The thing is, you can start your disciple spam a bit earlier than they can start LRM spam. So it takes a few minutes for the TEC player to "catch up" in the power of h
I was fighting a herd of LRM frigates yesterday and I was laughing at them as their weak shields disintegrated rapidly. You people keep on talking about the weapon damage, yet you completely ignore the EXTREMELY weak shields and weak armor strength of the LRM (measly armor of 1). I think you're all full of it, personally. I think you just have a personal vendetta against Kruelgor the Great and that's why you're skewing the truth. I don't mind though, because you're making you
Perhaps it's simply because I'm able to produce so many Disciples in the beginning of the game that LRM spammers simply can't inflict a critical blow to my empire. I can't explain the so-called "mechanics" behind it, but I do know that I fear LRM spammers zilch because of the Disciple (and because of patch 1.03)
