yes the mod updater will help with the problem, but it is still in beta, and the change for entrenchment is ShieldMeshName "" renderShield FALSE OR ShieldMeshName "name of the shield mesh" renderShield TRUE harpo

jdunbar, the 0.3c is for vanilla sins only and should be extracted to the mods-v1.17 folder assuming you have sins 1.17if you are on an older sins then it is to go in the respective mods-v folder, then activate the mod harpo
it sounds interesting , but at present I have my hands full with the mod updater program, and I agree with you that the map designer does not offer much control, but does offer a simple map creator for players harpo
mooster I use the convertdata_entrenchment.exe for entrenchment mods, convertdata_originalsins.exe for vanilla, and for the future expansions I will use their convertdata*.exe's, so if the modder had used the wrong convertdata for the expansion then it could give this problem and might be related to the will not convert the capitalship_phase for creating your own reference data's problem that happens even with the batchfile method of conversion, which is why I put the failed to convert listin
map designer is the in game map designer that designs random(partially) maps, from what I have read in the forums the map designer maps 'can' be shared during the setup of multiplayer games. I have NOT tried this myself so can not verify it harpo
manshooter I had already tested my mod updater with your dynamic .9 and it is working with other mods in 18+game hour games the change that I inserted was adding a renderShileds TRUE after the ShieldMeshName hope this helps harpo
there have been no official references released sins 1.01. it would be good to have officials but atleast the gui helps people that want them to make them harpo
I have created a map with 3 teams of two and the teams did land on the home planets desired harpo
set each player to the team number in galaxyforge edit players, that should work the way you want harpo
after the warrenty they do not offer any service or support harpo
the only things that I can comment on are dell! and vista!!, but other than those two points YES!!! harpo
the easiest way is first copy your sins & entrenchment porgram folders to where you want to store your reference files, then download & run my sins txt bin gui, then browse in the folder view in the gui to your new reference area opening the folder so that you can see the folders inside it, then click on the convert this folder, then click on the convert the folder NOW button and the gui will con
dark cloud I do not have that buff either in 1.03,1.02 or 1.01 OR 0.9, nor did I see it in the entrenchment 1.03 directory are you sure that the buff exists? I assume you are looking for the buff to deploy mines, the only items found are the mine fighters, and spacemines harpo
the only entitys that I found with the line were starbases, planets, planet modules, frigates, and capital ships. this should help harpo
it is either on the manual(back cover, or perhaps inside the front cover) or for some people it is on the case harpo
the update for entrenchment added a single line in the entity files with shields potential adding a renderShield TRUE for thos files WITH a ShieldMeshName and a renderShield FALSE for those files that have ShieldMeshName "", and the rendershield is the line AFTER the ShieldMeshName I did not find any entity changes from 1.16 to 1.17 I am writing a mod entity file updater at the moment it is in beta with debugging and minor feature adds happening harpo
assuming you have sins 1.17/entrenchment 1.03, the galaxy forge maps NEED to be placed here for xp C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\GalaxyForge or here for vista/windows 7 C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\GalaxyForge. NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder opti
v1russ_nl, what are thedifficulties you are haveing on the wormholes? , I did spend a bit of time over the last year and a half learning mapping in both the forge and designer, and I understand where you are coming from, as I am currently learning modding harpo
another way is to create a mod and copy the sound from vanilla sins into your mod's sounds folder, then activate your mod in entrenchement( I did this because of the HORRIBLE soundfile used in the cobalt in entrenchment( sounds like the telstra/optus/vodaphone help lines ie indian subcontinent btw these 'help lines' are horrendously slow and unhelpful typical queing times is between 20 minutes and 2 hours (i kid you NOT) and once you actually start to talk to a "person" there is this EXTREEML
my suggestion is to alter the starting values for EACH player in the maps you want to. in my experience it does work harpo
rtsbond for the faction symbols they are in a tga called racelogos.tga in the textures folder, and the small logos are hidden in the ALPHA channel. it is possible to add colour but as the small logos are alpha only you do not get the colour effects that you want I did play with this in my personal micro megastarbase mod harpo
here is a link to the thread that the map updater is in, and the map updater is located on mediafire , filefront AND <a title="har
mooster there is a change that effects entitys between entrenchment 1.02 & 1.03 the adding of a rendersheilds true after the shieldsmesh line in all entity's ships planets, planet modules and starbases. I know as I am writing a utility to update mods for this exact reason. and some mods are not updating properly as the do not decompress properly with the convertdata_entrenchment for entrenchment mods or the convertdata_originalsins for vanilla mods harpo
the best advice is to email support at stardock.com with the old email account and serial number and ask them to help harpo
jcool746 sins of the 13th tribe is an entrenchment mod so it needs to be placed in the mods entrenchment v1.03 (and the mod does work in 1.03 as it does not change any entity files which is where the mod breaking changes from 1.02 to 1.03 happened first you will want/need a either or both winrar and 7zip ot extract files then download and install galaxy forge from the sins download page assuming you have sins 1.17/entrenchment 1.03, the mods NEED to be placed here for xp<br
