Quoting Sp3ktr3, reply 5The AI trains their capships. But not to level 7.
My response was for the OP, but in regards to your statement I'm not entirely sure. The harder AI levels are actually designed to cheat on multiple levels to make them more challenging. I just did a big game vs a vicious AI, and I ended up facing wave after endless wave of multiple lvl 10 capital fleets. I'm p

The AI trains their capships.
Does anyone think corvettes are actually adding anything to the game? I'd rather just not have them.

A nearly immortal vengeful creation, bent on destroying all Vasari, and freeing their slaves, traveling with the mind-controlled Dark Fleet? The living embodiment of dominance, a billion times more powerful than all the Advent combined? Coming this way?
</p
I don't much care for the picture sets. The one that has the best Vasari image has by far the worst Advent one (in my opinion). They are pretty much all like this, one or two good race images, one really bad. Why not just have discreet images without confining them to sets? Packing them into sets just seems like an odd design decision to begin with.
QUAD CORE SUPPORT! Live it, love it, just f'ing do it kthx.
I will pay $40, simply because I haven't purchased Entrenchment or Diplomacy. For people that have purchased those already, $20 for the new expansion would be reasonable.

I would love to see an actual release date for this expansion. I just recently dusted off SoaSE (vanilla) after not playing it for a year. I'm very tempted to buy Diplomacy and Entrenchment, but if Rebellion is coming soon I will just wait.
You fail at reading comprehension. This isnt Barrens chat.
OH NO!!! The worst RTS player in history threw a groundless, witless retort my way! I'm going to go tell them about it over in "Barrens Chat"
PC gaming IS dying. Also, the earth is transforming into a giant kangaroo!!! :NOTSURE: ... :CONGRAT:
Several thousand planets later, I've never found them. gg
Wow, you spamtarded one unit and then got owned? Oh noez!! lawl
That sounds nice and all.. but is it worth it given that you need to "sacrifice" a cap ship for it to be good?
What? :p Resurrection is there so that when your lvl 10 Radiance gets blown to dust by an entire fleet focus firing it, you can build a shiny new Radiance (or other ship of your choosing), use your Mothership's resurrection on it, and completely replace your boss unit that you just lost in combat. Not really sure where the "sacrifice" comes in here.
I sometimes purchase the levels if I think it's going to be critical to my survival. Usually further into the game I'll have researched Mass Transcendence though, so they auto-level to 4 pretty quickly.
Careful kc_cooper, all this making sense and talking about balance will prompt the troll to call you a moron. On the upside, his posts are the equivalent of grammatical siezures, always good for a laugh.
Battleburger mortal strikes your Kortul Devastator for 4399. wtfpwned
Yes they do.
I rarely have this problem. Of course I almost always start out with a Radiance battleship, and animosity as the first ability. This makes capturing early planets a snap, as you don't lose nearly as many frigates in the process.
So...you're still running 1.01 then?
I had the AI send a massive fleet against me last night, 8 cap ships and probably two hundred frigates. I only had my Progenitor, Radiance and a Rapture, along with a few dozen frigates and cruisers. I had never tried the cleansing brilliance/malice combo before, and most of his frigates were all in one big group. I tossed malice on them and targeted the cruiser all the way to the rear of the formation with cleansing brilliance. 8 seconds later most of his fleet was gone. :SURPRISED: I th
@ CommanderAdama: :CONGRAT: Works pretty much exactly like he described. I always thought the destroyed ship had to be in close proximity like homefleet said, I was pleasantly surprised when someone told me the other day how it actually works.
I went ahead and watched it, it's a nice video. More fleet vs fleet action would have been nice.
Hehe, I said that as a joke but w/e it's still a good idea. :HOT:
