lmfoa... we at 7DS had this conversation and it came down to someone RP'ing a TEC Fleet Commander yelling, "We need Flak Burst against those fighters. All hands deposit small bills and change to the hopper!" Credits to activate abilities is just silly. Metal/Crystal I endorse fully. You can work in "Scenario Templates" along the lines of "Ancient Gifts" or the Labyrinth map. You just have to reference what is present in the GSDef file to get the ships to spawn. 7 Deadly Sins will have the templates you are looking for. :)

I've decided to go the Militia route. I can randomize what spawns via multiple groups whereas the pirate base has only one group and adding other "Chance" based groups isn't possible because of the game itself. Suggestion Star/Clad: Add: PlanetOwnerIsPirate, PlanetOwnerIsPirateWithChance I really want to randomize the PirateBase template so people aren't so sure what's gonna be there from one game to the next. btw, you can create a scenario template that starts players with stuff. It's a little more involved, but works. There are some maps with scenario templates -like Ancient Gifts iirc or the Labyrinth map.

yes, they will capture your ships. I had some nasty Rogues capture my Stellar Converter (omfg Atlantian Titan) and ravage the world over which we were fighting... insta nuked my planet :( Ask for playtester status at the 7 Deadly Sins site.
