So, now that a $5 DLC is being released, will the PvP players get it?
It sounds pretty good. But what does this mean? What is an "active phase node"? Do you mean phase gate? "Starbase Mobilization now only allows Starbases to phase jump between active phase node"
Are you guys playing by direct IP connect or over Ironclad Online? Are you putting an {E} in your games' titles?
Funniest 5v5 ever. This classic thread is in need of a bump.
I agree, people shouldn't get kicked if the game does not say "skilled". What you should do is identify yourself to the game host as someone who played online PvP in the earlier versions of the game and thus not a "box noob".
The title was a reference to a famous line from the movie Tropic Thunder. It looks like the moderators thought it was inappropriate.
What do you do when you host a game and then you get the eco slot? Start feeding people. That's all fine and good, but wouldn't it make sense to at least colonize your asteroid and your moon and perhaps to slowly take some other planets while you build up your eco and feed? Judiciously colonizing planets and building trade ports on them is not that huge of an impediment to feeding your team, certainly not when you're TEC. In tonight's game, King of Ki
If Turtle is really Chose, then he has a record of dragging games out going all the way back to Entrenchment.
A big part of the problem is that the diplomacy has to be mutual. In the original Diplomacy expansion, at least in the beginning, it was sufficient if only one player sent envoys, which means that eco spot players could take care of the diplomacy stuff. The other problem is that it just takes too danged long for the relationship to build up.
I'd be happy to just boot Wail out of the game entirely and let it be replaced with something else. How about some sort of an economic boost ability for the Advent? They could use something like that.
It's interesting that it took about 8 months for Wail to finally get banned. I don't know exactly when the Wail ban became standard or who all pushed for it, but I'm glad it's finally happened.
[quote who="AgentExeider" reply="42" id="3320231"]I have played ALOT of Sins in the hey day, Entrenchment and Diplomacy, not so much in rebellion, because my buddies can't seem to get their copies to work because of steam. Your buddies probably aren't going to be dicks and probably won't drag a dead game out for an additional two h
The curse of being an Australian online gamer. You're not the only Australian sinner out there. A guy named Hack used to play the game often (but hasn't been around for about two or three years). One of the frequent players is an Australian guy named BagsX.
It seems like we have a new standard for online multiplayer PvP ("the real Sins game"). No WMJ -- no Wail, no Maw, and no Jumping Starbases allowed.
I suspect that AgentExieder is either very new or just hasn't played any Sins online multiplayer at all.
A coworker who is a computer enthusiast built it by purchasing deals over time, but he didn't have any use for it.
This game definitely runs much better on a faster rig. I upgraded from a dual core Opteron 185 overclocked to 2.8 GHz and with 3 GB RAM and an 8800 GT to this rig. I think I got a nice deal for $600, essentially brand new. Core i5-3570K (quad core, Ivy Bridge, unlocked, OC to 4.2 GHz, can easily do 4.5 GHz) Corsair H60 Water Cooler HSF 8 GB generic RAM from a Dell (2x2x2x2) ASUS P8Z68-V LX mobo EVGA GeForce GTX 560 2GB DDR5 (special model for Best B

You'd have to fill your record with fake losses and even then you'd still have a record of games played. PlayerJuan, thanks for the link. Karma to you.
Congrats! The whole game minidumped! What a waste of an extra hour of boring laggy gaming. No wonder so few people play this game online. I'm probably going to play more and more Skyrim. I also have KOTOR 1 and 2, which I've never played before.
I'm in a game right now with skilled players (Seleuca on the opposing team) and that team is refusing to quit even though the game has pretty much been over for about 40 minutes now. At some point it became "cool" to not quit and to drag out games. Who knows? Maybe one of the players on the winning team will minidump!
