Is it because game is bad??? I do not think so.
As difficult as it may be to accept, we might have to face the fact that the game just doesn't have much staying power for 99% or 99.5% of the people who purchase it. It may not be an ICO issue. It's possible that the game is great, but that there aren't enough gamers out there with the interest or mental acuity needed to like it and/or that the game itself really just isn't that

In our lifetimes, we will probably see the U.S. continue to weaken and diminish with China coming to effectively rule the world. (Brought to you by economic policies tantamount to national suicide and foreign outsourcing.)
I don't seem to get much respect based on where I am on the list. I guess I should be happy I'm at least on the list.
What is the relationship between JakeMac and HuyMac?
Moving to Steam was one of the best things that ever happened for this game. Did I mention that online player counts peaked over 1000 at a single point in time after the recent $14 Steam sale?
What exactly do you get out of that research? I've never used it. As far as I know you only get resources from when enemy capital ships (and now titans?) are killed. How many of those do you take down in a game? How often would you need to knock one down to make it worthwhile? Maybe it would make sense in games against AI where you're going to end up killing many AI capital ships, but in real games it's probably not worth it.
It would be great if the Starcraft crowd could discover Sins. If we only had a tiny fraction of the Starcraft online multiplayer PvP base we'd probably have 10,000 people online 24/7.
It's really great that this is now an issue. We never had enough people online and enough games in the game setup area for this to have ever been a concern.
I just logged on (5:00 pm U.S. EST) and saw a RECORD BREAKING 930 people online!!!!! Way to go Steam sale! Now we just need more Steam sales!
Imagine if Sins became the Starcraft of China...a nation with 27x the population of South Korea where Starcraft is king. The ICO server would probably catch on fire.
And, for all you wanna-be smurfs out there...this is the perfect opportunity to confound and complicate the MP scene even further!!! Get it Today!
Eee-yup. Even though you might have 2000 PvP games under your belt from Sins/Entrenchment/Diplomacy, you'll still start out with a record of 0-0 in Rebellion.
Want more people to play the game and to have more people online? I encourage everyone to advertise the Sins sale at your favorite forums. It's currently on sale at Steam for $13.59 through about 1:00 pm EST Sunday (12/30). Here's a link to one of my ads at a popular forum. Feel free to copy it: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?p=34428773#post34428773 Fo
Add Archa-Ra and RedTank to the list of non-quitters. I had planned to just let my Sins run in the background until they either "won" the game (after the players on the winning team had either left or stopped playing) or they quit, but it minidumped while I was playing Unreal Tournament (lol, big surprise).
Implying PvP is the only "true"game again are you...
Yeah, you read that correctly. I am a shameless advocate of online multiplayer PvP.
It isn't often that you see Adjudicators used in real games.
The next achievement to pursue is to test your knowledge of the game and skill against human players in online multiplayer. That's where the real achievements start.
Since I haven't been Wailed on recently, I can only conclude that you are too quick to jump to unwarranted conclusions.
Time to reinvigorate this debate. At the very least, require the player to actually own 7 civic labs, not merely to have researched the ability. That way one additional counter would be to kill the civic labs. Also, ships at the planet that wails (friendly ships or the player's own ships) should also be subject to it. Structures at the wailing planet should also be lost.
I can't seem to use Gamestop's Impulse program any longer. I uninstalled it and reinstalled, but it's just not working for me. So, I guess I can't patch up Diplomacy. What a shame.

Part of the problem is the maps that most people play on. The style of play you want is best found on custom maps, such as many of the maps in my map pack. http://TinyURL.com/Sins20 Unfortunately, custom maps don't auto-download. There's also a practical problem with non-rush type maps (you start near your allies, away from your opponents) with larger player counts--the games will take longer to play and once everyo
If you desire the strategic challenge of playing the game against real people and not just silly, mindless algorithms, Rebellion is the only game in town now.
What version of the game are you playing? Original Sins, Entrenchment, Diplomacy, or Rebellion? If it's Rebellion you simply click "Ironclad Online" (as long as you have Steam up and running) and there you go. For the earlier versions you also click Ironclad Online but need to create an account with a password first. There aren't too many people left playing the earlier versions online though; the action is on Rebellion. I agree that it's confusing.
I am having a hard time finding someone to help me as no one wants to be on the same team as a "noob" in a 2 v 2. Be gracious and friendly and accept your "nooby lumps". Unfortunately this is a tough game to break into for online multiplayer PvP because most of the PvP
