Remember with 2 caps, you 1/2 the amount of exp they get for each ship you kill if they are in the same grav well. This can slow doen the time it takes to get MB on the Marza. I have seen MP games with 2 TEC fleets fighting - one has two marzas at lvl 5, the other has a lvl 7 or 8 and is able to fire off MB and survive while the 2 lower levels ones keep having to retreat to repair...
Hack78
I believe it has an activiation time, so in theory if you waited to long, the SB could blow up before the ability activates. Of course I could be wrong...
Everyone is leaving... Cykur, Anfield, How. Astax is MIA due to a lack of graphics card (soon to be fixed though I believe). Poor Tyr is gonna have no one to play with....
And almost poor us - our econ guy had to fleet up to stop that side of the map falling. Luckily I had cleared my guy out (he left his HW and 1 roid to the AI) and was moving onto the next guy in my path...
I played a game last night with guy who went TEC by mistake. His comment 1/2 way into the game was "OMG - The starbases don't move!!!!" - He had only played with Vassari before... Guess he didn't notice what the OTHER players starbases did....
If you play SP, then the AI can slow the game down a lot. If you play MP, then there are less AIs to run, so less issues with this slow down. Lag becomes more of an issue then a noticible slowdown...
It better be worth it
Someone must be getting old - the "do it because it is cool" effect must be wearing off :D
Contact Stardock Support then - you are trying to register an already registered copy. OF COURSE it won't let you....
Ah Proletari - what you send today about joining a clan is true then??? I look forwards to seeing you in a clan game against me sometime - be it with the Allies or some other clan... BTW Uni - congratulation - if you have just secured yourself a clan member, you have someone who is able to mix it in MP....
I have Gal Civ II - Ultimate Edition This is what Impulse shows when I select "More Info" System Requirements <str
Are you sure it works on Win98 - I have a feeling it is not supported
Not to rain on your parade Uni, but until you are KNOWN to the MP community, most people will not join your clan, unless they are your everyday real life friends. The reason is the better players want to know what they are signing up to and with who. But good luck to you - I hope you DO pull it off as having another clan would be nice....
Did you enter the dashes as well???
Suggest we either use one of the other ones like TEC Town or we create one - e.g. "Lobby" which people can join manually. I'm using "Lobby"
1) You patch the game via Impulse - there are no "patches" to download 2) What you are decsribing is NOT a crash - it is merely the game pausing while one computer catches up with the other (the AIs can cause this game to lag)
It was fine about 12 hours ago
Same issue when I logged on just now - it was fine about 9-10 hours ago I tried joining "Lobby 1", but got a blank lobby and could see nothing or no one
I've found lately that Sins crashes on me sometimes when I swap players - e.g. from clan account to non-clan account etc...
They are constrained by the Games for Windows requirements....
Yeah - I was fairly sure you did, but wasn't 100% sure off the top of my head...
Have you seen TEC hull:shield ratio, vs Vasari and Advent?
Plus you could have ceilos in your fleet!!! Not sure I like the idea, but it would definately favour TEC
A POSH bakery in Split, Croatia, has been broken into almost every week. But not since the shop owners posted a life-sized photo of the toughest man in Hollywood Chuck Norris in the window. The sign says: “This shop is under the protection of Chuck Norris.” Now the bakery hasn't had a single burglary for more than a month. Sales assistant Mirna Kovac said: "To be honest
1) It is worth it 2) If you want both, copy your current folder (1.05) somewhere else so you can still play that version, then patch to 1.16 (soon to be 1.17) and install Entrenchment You may need to do some tweaking of files under your profile in regards to the mods - I don't play them so it isn't an issue for me...
Thanks Hack78, I never quite got that. Also, do non-colonizable areas break the chain? Do you need to upgrade your starbase to use them? And since the ships can use wormholes, if a wormhole is in between two planets in your chain, is it broken?
In vanilla no (Dead roids do break it (unless you are TEC ;)), but non-colonisable doesn't). In Entrenchment yes as you need to put a SB there with the trade upgrade.
I downloaded them and installed them last night - they showed up in the menu, but I haven't tried them out yet.
