You know Darvin3, you mention scouting alot. Maybe you should get a detailed post together all about scouting/ a sins wiki entry so you can just link to it... I know I could use scouting tips myself. The hardest part for me is the multi-tasking.

So I have more info on that wierd bug. I haven't run mods before, so I dont know if its a common problem with mods or not, but if I enable OR disable your mod, then run a game without shutting the game down, I run into that problem where the ships constantly change order in the empire tree. Otherwise, I dont have problems. Hope this helps

It just seems wrong to me that building LFs is pointless late in the game. Every ship should contribute to the fleet. I want to put them in for their AM thievary, but they seem to die or whittle down to near non-existence in a few seconds. Hey, balance patch guys! maybe a late game tech to make them more resilient? eh?
So i think its better to rush trade at start.
I did this. my research was trade->carriers->illuminators->SB->gaurdians. I did end up with culture at some point, but that was to battle his, pop upgrades (which i could have done without), and hull upgrades (I was worried my SBs would come under anti-module attacks). Overall, the game went pretty well. There was a spot I was highly vulnerable though, s

thanks for the advice all. I am absolutely sure that I've been researching too much now. by game end on a small map i have 8 hostility temples and 5-6 harmony. I research every military tech and defense tech with a few exceptions. Most of my civil tech goes to trade and culture. my usual start is to drop 2 harmony temples, grab the ice and volcanic tech, then scrap the temples. Once I get hostility temples up, my primary goal is illuminators followed by guardians. Repu

It kinda struck me the other day that I might be spending too much resources on research. I'm sure that heavy research might have its uses if you can exploit it, but I dont think that's my case. So I'm asking if anyone could give me an example of what they tech'd in a specific game. I realize there will be differences based on the situation, I'm only asking so that I have something concrete to compare against. I play advent and usually in a small random map. Any additional d
I agree they are both expensive and risky investments...however, I'd be wary of making them more powerful...10 siege frigates can be rather costly, but eco players in MP games often build this many or more siege frigates with flak/hoshikos and can wipe out undefended HWs in sneak attacks...
Theoretically, wouldnt those ships actually be the counter to an eco player? Another thought on seige ships: what if the fleet
I still think the solanus adjudicator should be looked at...the ship only does 44% of the damage that the ogrov does (per fleet supply), but it also can target 5 ships at once...to make sure I understand this, if the solanus does 15 DPS, does this mean it does 15 DPS against 5 targets at the same time? So basically, it does 75 DPS? In any case, I don't think damage will need to be messed with...these things aren't nearly as
I don't understand, what % to bombers vs LRF are you thinking of? No change was made to bombers v LRF (or maybe that's what you are saying, that there should be a change?)...I'm sorry I'm just confused at what you're getting it....
what I was reading was that bombers and LRFs were both too effective against capitals. So I figured that if you reduce the effectiveness of bombers against capitals in proportion to an incre

I would like to suggest that the aim for envoys be to make them balanced & worthwhile even if diplomatic victory is turned off and you're not aiming for pacts. Not that envoys should be essential, the point of them is mainly pacts & d-victory, but it shouldnt be uncommon for them to be found in those situations. How many games actually research the highest diplomatech and have enough relationship to actually implement that max pact without having essentially already won?

I'm curious. I often play as Advent, and mid-late game against the AI, I have this issue where I'm constantly replacing my disciples. The AI seems to target them first when it targets frigates. It wouldnt be my choice, as there are illuminators, gaurdians, capitals, HCs, idk all that seems to be much higher priority to me. I only replace them because they keep targeting those first and it keeps them off my more valuable ships. Otherwise, I'd only keep a handful for AM regen purposes D

I see you implemented some fixes for the following, but I had some ideas in case you weren't happy with them: For repulsion, couldnt it apply a debuff to what it hits that makes it immune to further repulses for a bit? For the Domina, the name Perseverance kind of implys some way of shrugging off damage. I'd suggest adding a bit of shield points to the intiation of the cast. that way the target recieves and keeps more of the HPs restored. It shouldn't be a shield restore, just

I actually forgot you were mostly concerned with low values. I went back and looked for XP to summarize the current situation, advent XP/CP% (sort of baseline): +3% LF; TEC XP/CP%: +1-2% scouts, -5% flak, +3% cielo, +4-5% hoshiko; Vasari XP/CP%: -4-5% LRF, +2% seig

I was going to guess that the XP was handed out based off of average expected fleet composition. for example, a ship type a faction might specialize in would get lower xp because they would be expected to have more of that ship and it would all balance out. I was going to guess that. then I figured based off your chart, its not that hard to calculate and it didnt add up the way I thought. <a title="this be a chart" href="http://www.mediafire.com/?6v8s35htcjbezy

edit-today i ran it again and had no issues, so idk I dont know if this has been brought up, but I tried this mod out and had issues with the empire tree. This is mostly an FYI Capital ships were not in there usual spot at the begining of the fleet in the empire tree. They were usually at the end of it. I just find it convienent, especially early when theres not to many abilities, to hit a key and have an ability at my finger tip usually, ship classes stay gro

Well, one simple thing that could be done to greatly reduce the 'bouncy-ness' of the tree would be to move the ships-that-are-phase-jumping section to the bottom of the tree; if you're engaged in a battle and send in reinforcements, the tree flips out. I kinda like that pause-on-mouse-over idea, sounds promising. About the production: There are some production options I think would be nice to have (like making a factory dedicated to producing 1 type of ship, maybe giving a speed bonus

I'm sorry I did not respond sooner. It is a calculator and should be able to give you a rough idea of what you would need to match up to a fleet on a ship by ship basis. Strikecraft and capitals are not working at the moment, but those should be fairly easy to judge on their own To be able to do this, you will need to have the excel version, PDF version wont calculate anything. The white boxes are ones you must enter information into. Do not enter anything into the colored b
