Quoting SpardaSon21, reply 3Newboerg released a handy mesh rescaler. Not sure about how it handles textures though. Thats actually where I was about to redirect you! Go grab it in the thread called "handy little tool". You should probably experiement with it first before you try anything REALLY big, just to see how the textures handle it.
Ahhh... Sounds interesting! Thank you

Or now that i have this little mini mod with one last advent ship..., could i ask if someone could lend a hand with a model touchup? Danman and company have the 7 Deadly Sins mod, and in it, there are these derelict TEC ships, and they look very very cool, well.... not so cool, you know, like corroded and decayed and old and all that, but they look very cool for all that. Anyway, i have a mini mod, and a small story arc for the advent, that says, fifty years from now the advent are almost com

Well... it would be interesting to find out. As of now, i can get pretty far out from the well chasing the baddies, almost halfway to another planet. But it happens by accident and i dont understand why. P
quoting postIs is possible to make the graphics bigger? I know this sounds silly, but i remember a setting for zoom rate, set to 3 or 4 or 5 on somethings, ships. I don't know about planets, but i thought is would be cool to see if the zoom rate would make the ships appear larger at the closer zoom? And if that works, and im not entirely sure it will, but its a place to start, then maybe it will work with planets, or changing

Hi, After much silly thoughts about mobile defenses, i posted a mini mod into the stardock sins mods, but its not there yet, and for frigates with capital abilities, which i also posted a mini mod to stardock sins mods, and not there yet either, I have thought it might prove interesting to have a single carrier with colonize, capturenuetralentity abilityblackout and abilityDomination with say 50 fighters/bombers and sl

Wouldn't it be cool, if you could "Hide" in open space? Sorta like FogofWar, where other players looking for you, including the AI, could see planets, like with clairvoyance... or colonies that belong to you, or even trace the phase lanes back from planet to planet... but in "Open Space" you could go anywhere, and be hidden except perhaps until you were... hmm... 100 clicks out? :) Now I would like that... or dust clouds.. like in HW2...? Talk about Hide
Well, I came across it while I was doing something else trying to merge a few mods together. It's tough being a complete newbie but no one wanted to help out. Anyway, I feel your pain of not being able to find where something is. I believe what you're looking for may be in the SquadXXXBomber/Combat entity files (where XXX is the race.) Inside, I see a fighterConstructionTime string that may be how many seconds it takes to build, and wh

If I'm lucky, they haven't gone too far and I can still find them and have them dock without it taking too long. Otherwise they are lost in space and I have to scuttle them and build new ones.
Ahhhh.... I dont scuttle them, I either go on, or wait, and sometimes it is a bit of a

Hi, Does anyone remember where the fighter and bomber build times is? I am trying to shorten it, and can't find it. Its not in the fighter or bomber entities above the frigates, and i remember seeing it somewhere when editing a file, because i thought... ahhh... how interesting, but left it and went on, and now i can't remember where i saw it. Ahhh.... it's kinda nice... and certainly makes for an interesting battle when they are all strung out in a straight line straight up. :) anyway i think the devs must have realized that fighting just in a flat two dimensional space would be boring...:) and wanted to jazz it up.:) At least that is my guess if other people are having this happen too. Thanks Canadaman777. Take care, -Teal

Hi, im working on a mobile defense mini mod and have been playtesting it, and have had a number of gravity well battles that wind up out in the middle of space... haha... don't know why, or if i've somehow changed something without knowing it, or if this is normal and everyone is already used to this. Anyway, wanted to post a screenshot and see if anyone else is having this behaviour. Maybe 1.05 got some upgrades i didnt know about. :) -Teal hmmm..... now trying to figur

As to how much processor power it would take: hmmm.... seems you can have low res graphics for low end machines and high res for high end. Just like they do now with the graphics in game. It shouldn't be any different. Just add some new graphics, keep them low and on my low end machine i should be fine. I mean, i know its low res, but it still looks pretty good to me. When I get to upgrade the machine, which for real probably wont be for another couple years, but still, when i do,

Just a thought regarding some of the 'beams', 'projectile', 'missile' theories. while beam weapons require high energy to initiate and to maintain for the firing period, it can be deflected relatively straightforward using reflective surfaces or materials. Projetiles however use less energy to start and maintain, and do not suffer from reflective diffusion, however it does take a given time and trajectory to actually 'hit' the target, in addition to being 'uncorrectable' once launched.
