Real military experience shows that the opposite is true. Navies are tending more and more towards light ships carrying lots of missiles and point defence equipment. The age of the battleship is long gone.
Indeed. The age of the battleship is over. And in its place, what are the capital ships of m

For those of us who have been playing Sins for a long time, we aren't getting all that much new content (significant, yes, but not a while lot). On the other hand, those who haven't played Sins before are getting a ton of new

One colony frigate can easily be used for taking one of the asteroids, alone, and can then warp to the other asteroid (alone) once its hull has repaired enough. There's no other limitation. AM is a huge limitation....the nearest planet that could have a frigate factory is 3-4 jumps away, and if your opponent arrives even remotely close to the same time you do, you can't afford to sit a
Well, that colony cap is going to be essential in grabbing those 3 planets in the center...without a colony cap, it's going to be rough...if you just used colony frigates, the asteroids will be a bit easier because you can send a colony frigate to the star for the AM regen bonus, but that still is a pain (and only helps for one of the asteroids)...
Not at all. I'm looking for someone named Xatik I played earlier, he said he was on the forums but the search function turned up nothing, and usernames are organized by some ID number rather than by name. You out there, Xatik? (Don't say anything, just reply so I can find your user page! :) )

There's also the issue that someone mentioned that Rebellion coming out around Christmas could make it appear more overshadowed by other games, than were it released at a more strategic time... but still, $40 is a bit much. For those who have bought the previous 3 versions as well, at least.

If you (or anyone else) is having trouble starting in multiplayer like nearly everyone did, feel free to talk or PM me. While I'm not a pro yet, I have experience and can help significantly reduce your the initial learning curve, especially if you're experienced with RTS in the past. (It isn't fun to lose your first 10 online games in a row with no idea of how to improve)

Unless you're playing on the insane difficulties, it should take hours (at least one, likely a lot longer) for the AI to start building superweapons... especially if you aren't on Faster speeds. And even when they start firing, they shouldn't be hard at all to defend against, if you have some idea of what you're doing. :) For the TEC superweapon, build a SB and upgrade with planet protection, for the Advent superweapon you can probably just ignore it, fo
