After playing it against an AI I got the jist of alot of it, I got the envoys to improve my relationship, I sent out missions, I did the research upgrades, I even got the one where the racial inclination was improved. I had a relationship of about 8.0 with the AI and they STILL wouldn't even open trade with me. Am I missing something I just couldent seem to improve MY relationship with the enemy. I offered missions for them to send me resources. And thats all I coul

The Advent for sure. They seem like the Utopian kind of society. I wish we had more culture and information added to the game but this always appealed to me. "At an early age, Advent children are taught to seek enlightenment in whichever way naturally suits them "

I was actually planning on writing a book based on the Advent POV and hopefully coming up with some ideas that would be considered cannon by Stardock, if it ever came to be that my life would be complete

it might be the advents, but I do not know. I used to be able to handle large scale battles, so I didnt think the starbase would be a problem.

It seems to happen after a starbase is built.

Not entirely relevent to the discussion, but I kinda disagree with this. First of all, everyone is different; such blanket statements for some reason always feel too narrow for diversity to play a role when it is usually the deciding factor. Now, your right that on average statistic

In Sins, the computer might give the name Tondam Corporation to either the TEC, Advent, or Vasari. The computer chooses the AI names randomly. The lore only exists to tell us how each of the three races got in contact with each other, and why they a presently trying to blow each other up. That's just my opin

[quote who="stein220" reply="51" id="3019405"]Back to the female/psychic question, cultural attitudes in the Unity toward young girls and boys could also play a role. More specifically, perhaps the Advent believes girls are stronger in this regard and these subconscious attitudes reinforce their own cultural gender roles (subconscious thoughts being shared more strongly in the Unity) and children could be encouraged to take different paths based on this. Of course, different

Does a faggot become stronger because of having female traits or is a lesbian weakened by having male traits? It was actually a question when i put the *?* and thanks for answering it. Kudo

Hello Nate i'm someone who has looked into the Advent lore for quite some time and I think I can help you. Psitech is the technology that the advent use to enhance their psychic potential. They use a device that is connected to the back side of their skulls(look at my avatar for an example). Most likely this device connects through the Occipital lobe of the brain because that part of the brain serves as the primary visual cortex for us humans(Would also explain thei

Lore is a critical part in a game. Its more than a 'reason than an excuse to watch ships blow up'. Lore is on the same page as graphics, its an investment in drawing your gamers into an universe and reaching an emotiona

[quote who="Wrath89" reply="4" id="3015602"]The fact is that there is a limited amount of human resources to go around. If a whole lot of effort is put into flavor text and lore, that means less effort available for improving other parts of Sins. Even if there are different parts of a development team, there is still a limited number of total humans available to work on things. And, like I said, these AI factions you want to add descriptions to are too, well, AI to be worth it.<br

So i'll try to make this as short as possible and sweet for anyone who enjoys games like I do I find it almost a chore for when I like a game to find out about the lore/background knowledge of the game. Their are multiple factions within this game that serve as allies or antagonist that have no real description within their background. I would love to see this fixed in any expansions past rebellion giving them more personality than just the preset text that is within the game. &nb

Balancing 1v1 is usually the first step to balancing team games because it provides a far more realistic approach to a race-to-race for lack of better word's statistic.
