It depends what sort of game you're playing. One of the problems IMO is that the skilled multiplayer community is so single-mindedly focused on 5v5 games, which emphasize quite a lot of strategies and factions while significantly inhibiting others (due to players spawning so close to each other). If players played 1v1 or 2v2 more (or, even, Point Blank more), the situation regarding weak Advent would be significantly diffe
Will there be more enjoyable achievements to gain and with the tutorial be improved? Answer: Yes on both counts (way to sneak in two questions, btw). We’re looking to add a number of new achievements suggested by the community and also update the tutorials for the new content. I hope the tutorials are completely reworked, and that they aren't just modified to include the new content. As they are they're a bi
If advent got some kind of economic boost that helped them out in the early game, but disappeared into the middle game, I think this problem would solve itself, though I am open to hearing all ideas. Disciples are cheap and effective. Given more cash, you can field more and invest in the research to field the other units.
Well the Advent earlygame wouldent be fixed cause of economy, its mainly due to our

Some vasari experimental teleport lab flicks a switch, blows up, then you see a kortul on the run followed by what looks like a diagram of the vasari moving from planet to planet with each planet falling dark as the unknown enemy arrives a short time after the vasari remnants leave, indicated by the planet turning red in the

If I'm playing a LAN or online game with friends then we kick it up to Normal or Hard, but when I'm solo, I set them to Easy. Eventually I'll progress to Normal and Hard. Did they have any starbase busters? I'm not familiar with those, so I couldn't tell you.
<a href="https://www.sinsofasol
Quoting MayallCommunion, reply 23 Reasonable, either that or remove LRM's im not to 100% sure on this one haha. LRM = TEC exclusive LRF LRF = general long-range frigate LRF spam is the problem
Thats what I meant No really! Thanks for clearing that up though.
Quoting MayallCommunion, reply 21I suppose I can see your point, in my opinion they need to do something about the LRM situation. But what could be done (perhaps nerfing ALL lrm's potency to the standard frigate(by a small amount?) A suggestion I posted a while back was to buff the LF so that it would do a lot more damage to capital ships (70 or 75% or so instead of 50%). Decent anti-cap damage and great speed would mean that a
Quoting MayallCommunion, reply 16 And I think you underestimate the timing difference. That could be a whole minute of not building Illuminator's while your enemy is building LRM's. Don't discredit small things because they in fact do make a difference. I think I estimate it just fine. My point was that if it was earlier in the tree, all 3 races would be going for them and we'd have more of a LRF spam

I roleplay my own empire, but it would be nice to have a miniature campaign as a tutorial while providing more lore for the universe per race.

If you want to better the advent early game economy, I'd say that simply making culture more accessible is the way to do it. Maybe some sort of research that makes your capital planet generate culture on its own. No culture center needed. Call it "Seat of the Unity" or something. As for illuminator...
It does a bit but the Tech has advantages too--when they level enough to put an extra logistics module on every planet--including dead asteroids. You also aren't invulnerable there because fleets can still invade you and you pulled military assets from the road back to the Lacuna Coil leaving what's there for another player if they go past you or forcing you to build a second fleet. Well the thing is that its not that it is bad its just compared to the other races its not good. The Vasari have there Metal/Crystal extraction in one. Although they do get ports/refineries late thats not generally a problem as they have efficiency with there Metal/Crystal and credits arnt to difficult to come by. The TEC however get to recieve Metal/Crystal at level 1 and level 2 and recieve trade ports at level 3. However, trade ports/refineries both are upgradeable. The TEC also ha

Alright I think we have all come to an agreement that Culture needs to be redesigned or changed and hopefully Stardock keeps tabs on these forum post. Lets get to our next topic perhaps and that is the poor economy (and what about the Allure of the Unity research does anyone feel as though it could use a buff?

32 Replies 33,988 Views

As much as I agree I don't believe in.. 'brutalizing' unless its justified I mean the TEC is a pretty well rounded race, except for late game against the advent. I do agree a game like this can never find perfect balance. But I think we should give some leeway into the races, the advent for example are so advanced. Yet there economic options are so late. On a side note does anyone else agree Allure of the Unity is a little but underwhelming.
