It does indeed build them simultaneously, but they seem to spawn out of only one or two of them. Believe me, when you have six capital factories and are churning out capships by the dozen, it becomes pretty obvious

I'd like to have hotkeys to filter a selection by ship class. For example, I could select my entire fleet (by whatever means), then press a key to cut that selection down to just the bombers, or just the capital ships, etc. Making it easy to issue orders by class. Or alternately, just have the key select all ships of X class at the current planet.
Yep, I've found that fighters last about 15-30 seconds and then its just the bigger ships fighting it out.... Try bombers instead. With the fleets I use, the bombers are sufficient to mop up the orbitals alone while my caps nuke the planets
It's an onboard sound card on the motherboard: Gigabyte K8 Triton series Which particular model do you have? I use the same, and have nad no trouble at all.
That, and the fact that I like massive fleets. Earlier I had one subjugating a star system that had over 200 ships, plus more than 50 squads of bombers...
Uh oh, it looks like GalCiv induced megalomania is seeping into Sins as well! wow nice pictures kryo. Does it run well with all that? I mostly play zoomed out so I can actually tell what's going on, and since my computer is far from top-end.
Just a minor nitpick--why not make the pirate ship icons white to match their icon? The grey it is now isn't very visible under many circumstances, IMO.
There doesn't appear to be an option to clear rally points completely once one has been set for a planet. That would be something good to have somehow.
System specs might help too.
If you have trouble with maintenance, start trading. I have a lot of trade going on in my current game and I can't spend all the money I'm making, even at 75% upkeep (trade seems to be unaffected by upkeep).
I laugh at your puny planetary shield, mortal: I think I need a bigger fleet.... Everybody's going to the rally point, it's where all the cool kids are at. A cruiser feels my bombers
Another crash, similar to above. Dump .
Refinery ships need to ignore rally points, otherwise we end up with a pile of braindead freighters piling up and loitering about.
Suggest an option to hide icons for friendly traders/refiners altogether, to make it easier to select stuff in zoomed-out view.
Crashed an hour after last save in the middle of a big battle (~30 caps, ~30 bomber squads, and an uncounted swarm of frigates... plus whatever the AI had), while assigning ability points to leveled-up caps. Dump here. A64 3200+ 1GB RAM x850 256MB 1280x1024, High textures
Have you tried using a hotkey to swap desktops and disabling edge-switching?
Shiny space rocks present on my x850.
Hot key groups, hmmm maybe 1 to 0 with shift for set and Ctrl to add possably being able to set shipyards to fleet #. You already can do hotkey grouping. Ctrl+number to set a group, number again to retrieve one.
I agree that it would be nice to be able to say "These ships are in fleet 1" and then get a perm "Fleet 1" selector in the list as well. As with most other RTS games, you can just press Ctrl+Number once you have a group selected. Then press the number alone to recall that selection.
Reinforcements to the primary fleet rallying at an outlying outpost, after a raid on an enemy planet was rebuffed (got their all of their caps and orbitals, but the huge swarm of frigates was too much).
The AI still has a long ways to go at this early point.
-have orbitals actually orbit around a planet. it would add some interesting strategy to the game as far as timing entry to a planets gravity well i.e. entering the gravity well while the enemy's fleet has orbited to the other side of the planet. for an example of what i mean by having orbiting objects, structures and ships check out the rts game pax imperia eminent domain. its old school (from like 1996) i think rts that is similar to the masters of orion series but i
When I zoom all the way out of one star system, then pan over and zoom in on another, the background nebula, ships, etc, don't appear. If I double-click something in that system via the empire tree before zooming in, then everything is fine, but the same issue will then happen to systems other than the one I picked an item in and zoomed in on if I try going back to them. I should be able to select my construction frigate and move it around like any other ship. It's cool that I can click on an asteroid and tell it i want something built, but that should just add to the end of the nearest construction frigate's build queue. I should be able to click on a frigate and then right click on an asteroid to build (or select from the Construction Frigate's command window, select build mine and then click on the asteroid).
