If that's the case, then the issue probably isn't related to the cheat argument at all. Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. The correct argument is "cheat" (singular), not cheats. Also if you just made the shortcut, make sure that the run-in path is set correctly.

He'll need to have them allow traffic on ports 6000 and 7000 (just those two, not a range). Additionally 6112 if he wants to host games, though many games use that one so it should already be available.

It appears to be a video driver issue, and as your current drivers are dated 2007, it's definitely time for an update. If Dell has nothing newer, try laptopvideo2go.com.

Impulse would have updated them as if you'd bought them individually, so you can just run whichever you want to play directly, from Impulse, or make a shortcut to each exe.

You most likely have some firewall software popping up in the background. If you can't alt-tab out to allow it, try running the game in windowed mode temporarily.

You should be able to just move it in explorer then use the Detect Application option in Impulse to correct the registry entries (or do that manually if you're familiar with the registry). For the future, you can set the default install locations in the folders section of Impulse's preferences, as well as set it to just prompt for a location on each install.

The registration shouldn't make any difference. Ultimate is just a bundle of DL/DA/TA, so you can choose to play the base game or either expansion as you please.

It should install right over top without any complaint, though if you prefer to keep it clean and do an uninstall, doing so shouldn't remove any settings, saves, or ship designs you have (though those won't be portable to DA/TA).

As moosetek noted, sometimes a reboot is needed after the installation as Windows may not immediately register the new fonts. Please do not ignore this solution simply because you may think it's silly. You may also need to run [link="http://files.kryofx.com/GC2langfix_64.reg"]this file[/link] as well. $57 NZD is right about the current exchange rate on the $39.95 USD list price. It's basically the same ($0.02 less) as buying the base game and both expansions at their regular prices. And yes, the sale on the base game does not apply to bundles containing it.

The line "Debug Message: Danger Will Robinson, no Stars!!!!" indicates that either the data files are missing or the language isn't set correctly. If the registry patch did not help, that eliminates the latter. Go ahead and try a reinstall if you like (unless you bought a retail copy, you must use Impulse), and if that also does not help please contact [email protected] for further troubleshooting.
