I would send an email to or and they should be able to figure out why it's goofing up.

How often we non-credit cards owner have asked you to let us pre-order (buy) with PayPal or (enter other money transfer service here). Do I really have to pass on that beta stage of yours again, because I can't pre-order? Oh boy, come on - don't get me wrong, I know the stuff about the fi
What exactly are these tips for? It sounds like they're "tips for leveling up fastest by minimizing town trips". Certainly not tips for how to have the most fun. :)
Pfft, if we were all your friends you'd give it to us for free! :P
It's pointless too because the next patch is bringing in the Grandmaster League which you can actually get kicked out of for inactivity, so the "Woot I'm in Master League!" won't have anywhere near the same bragging rights :P
I guess once advantag eof a F2P model is that I could actually be persuaded to look at the game under that model. So long as they want money up front, it's not going to draw my attention from Rift.
I'd definitely get Rift if I wasn't waiting for SW: TOR and Guild Wars 2, I very much enjoyed it during the betas.
I'd wait until the mission maker actually releases, ID. Right now it's still in testing. They did add a bunch of iconic refits, like the "Future" Enterprise from when Picard was jumping back and forth in time, the one that had a third nacelle and it shoots a big beam, also a Defiant refit so you can actually use it a viable high-tier ship. They've also added Fluidic Space in one of their episode arcs which looks pretty good, and a few equipment sets that change the appearance of your ship (on

Is this a function of Windows or is it a third party program that creates the list of executables you mentioned in your post? Cheers
It's a function of Windows. Flagging your executable as LAA (Large Addressing Aware) basically tells Windows that it can give it about an ext
I've been following some improvements, and it's sounding a lot better but I have not been back yet. I think once they finally release the mission maker so people can make their own, it might finally be worth playing again, since the original release missions are all pretty bland and there are a lot of players with time on their hands and the right amount of creativity to make some really awesome adventures. Ground combat is being redesigned right now too, and that will help a lot but
Uh, I think you might be reading too much into it. :P

I have no idea what that means... but if guns finally fire straight and/or strikecraft no longer fly through planets..., I am going to murder millions in Ironclad's and Stardock's name. Awesomesauce, with 100% more awesome! And sauce. This'll be fun. So.. when's the beta test?
My main is near being able to fly a strategic cruiser which can change load out and configuration on the fly.
It's not really on the fly. When you buy the ship you assemble it with the 5 subsystems of your choice. In order to change the subsystems you need to repackage the ship, which will cost you any rigs you have attached to it. They're still awesome ships, though. :)
Minmatar use mostly speed and projectile weapons. Some use pr
Thanks much for that breakdown, Raven :) Sometimes little touches are more than enough to make a game feel fresh. I especially like being able to pick traits for your generals, and personal duels. It does sound like they iterated quite a bit on some of the core features, I can't say I really expected anything too drastic. I just like to see improvements here and there and not just a re-skin/re-balance :)
Why do you assume they're happy? Kids are devilspawn! :P
Fleets are good for people who don't like to micromanage as much, and there are a fair number of those. In that regard they function pretty well, they keep ships together and they keep ship control simpler. Give an attack order to a fleet and the combat ships will go attack, but the support ships will stay support, etc.
This was debated and thought about during the design. But I don't think you guys realize how boring and predictable it would be. Every planet close to the star would have to be barren/volcanic. Every planet in the habitable zone would have to be Terran. Every planet farther out would be barren or gas giant. Can you play on essentially the same map for a year? It may be realistic, but it's not "fun". It's boring, it's unbalanced, and it's utterly predictable. This is one good case where fun tr
Perhaps you can share some actual evidence of your testing, because as far as I can tell, magic doesn't exist in the real world.
Don't touch the Advent superweapon. It's by far the better superweapon between the three. People who don't know how to use it can keep complaining, but if it's buffed any more it'll be completely ridiculous.
Yes, and this is really the biggest problem with Diplomacy. Psychoak hit it exactly.. the AI doesn't do anything special for diplomacy with other AIs. Any AI doesn't prioritize missions - you can give it a mission and it'll only complete it if it happens as a side effect of whatever it was doing normally. Same with everything else. The Diplomacy system works fine for Human <> AI interaction, but not so well for AI <> AI.
Players will be reset. Teams are balanced by tanks. Each tank has a certain point weight and teams are made so the total points match up between the teams, out of all the tanks that are queued. Artillery uses its own mechanism, but generally the teams are made with even numbers of artillery +/- 1. This doesn't take into account individual skill levels, but it balances out the teams so that you don't have a team of all light tanks that can't kill anything, or a team of all heavy tanks that can
It's in open beta now, you can try it whenever you want at http://www.worldoftanks.com :)
I was referring to SC2 tourneys ;) Also, players are only sponsored in Teams. There are lots and lots of tournaments where anyone can play. Also, MM spam vs Protoss? Really? They can get a sentry to block their ramp and you'll never get up there with your MM ball. Or if you do they'll split you off with the FF. Nearly foolproof? It's a good opening sure, but it doesn't win a game unless your opponent has been doing something way out there. As soon as a Colossus or High Templar i
So I've seen World of Tanks mentioned in another thread recently and I decided to do sort of an intro thread for the game because it's not very heavily marketed but is nevertheless pretty fun, if you're into that kind of gameplay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THn_FZAxvuQ&hd=1 So, what is it? World of Tanks is probably best described
