I think if the game not working was a known issue then there would be a lot of angry people right now. Send the .dmp file to a developer or provide it as a link here and they can download it. -Ian

I am not quite sure why size-limited data structures and hard coded classes exist in the game, to be honest. You are not just limited to either a linked list or an array. You can combine functionality to make a dictionary, or its subset, the hash table. With proper coding technique, a class can be made to grow or shrink in the amount of data it can hold very easily, and it will not consume a lot of time. I have my full convertdata interfacing class for both vanilla and entrenchment if you need to use it. Although it is in C++, not C#. It also is using .NET 3.5 instead of 2.0. PM me if you want to use the library. -Ian

I tested it and I do have the same issue. I believe the problem has to do with the shader they use to make objects shine slightly. It seems to mess up on curves, turning up the intensity 100%. Does Sins support older shader models? One could test those render paths.

Yeah, Shivans should be hard. Trying to make a completely balanced game like the original Sins with compatible with FS2 makes no sense. Unbalancing stuff makes things more interesting, I've always thought.
I am not aware of any mods that replace JUST the kodiak. There are total conversion mods that replace most or all of the models. Such mods include (but are not limited to) the Star Wars TC, Star Trek TC, and FreeSpace 1 TC.

I can't accept any more beta testers right now because I don't have much time to go over the feedback.txt they will provide me. If I have too many beta testers, it will take too long to implement any suggested changes. The best people who are not beta testers can do right now is answer the questions in my previous post. -Ian
That's fine. I am quite busy with Sins Editor and work (Probably shouldn't be in that order of importance :P). I don't know much about the FS1 backstory or craft as much as I do about FS2, so I will be waiting for people to begin on the FS2 models and such. When they are all ready, I will do what is required of me to help the mod. Just let me know!
Are you referring to entrenchment or vanilla? I assume the difference in strategy between the two is large.

I have added automatic conversion between binary<>text formats as an option (you will be prompted to locate the ConvertData.exe at program startup). Everything is going well and it looks good for a release date of the second week of January.
