Sorry, having EA spreading its abusive DRM around on Impulse just made me lose a lot of respect for it. I understand a lot of people have a hate on for EA, and I'm no fan either, but they're not the first publisher to have third party DRM on an Impulse title. See Sacred 2 for an
Quick question: On Dragon Age, is the DRM not finalized yet or is it not using DRM?
Stated on the BioWare boards by BioWare devs that it's not SecuROM or Tages, but just a simple disc check. Now, seeing as that was the same thing used on the Sims 3 and it turned up here with SecuROM, my money's on Dragon Age getting SecuROM as well. But only time will tell.
well, maybe they got EA to be like "well, maybe impulse is enough drm" and they got rid of it? (wishfull thinking, prolly though...)
It is. Cool to see you guys get the EA titles on Impulse, but every single one of them still has SecuROM attached. Why would they do that when Impulse is all the protection they need? What the hell's wrong with EA?
Tempting, but I don't want to tether another game to the Steam client. I will consider it.
My thoughts as well, but I figured for 5 bucks I'll give it a shot.
If anyone hasn't picked it up yet, it's $5 on Steam right now. Not that I'm a Steam fan (I far, far prefer Impulse), but that's a pretty decent deal.

That's odd. For me, it defaults to whatever tab was opened when I closed it last.
Ah, I wish you a speedy recovery, Fuzzy (even though that will shorten your gaming time!)
Have to agree that the white background has to go. Won't comment on the GUI change just yet, as I want to give it time to decide if I like/dislike it. Tried to post in the support/feedback thread but got the EGADS! error message.
Fuzzy, you may want to wait until October for Fallout 3. They're coming out with a GotY edition, which will include all 5 DLC. Of course, if the sale you saw is a really sweet deal, then go for that.
Gotta agree with the others on the case. My current build is in an Antec 900 and while I don't have many complaints about it, it will definitely be cramped with a couple big cards in there. I'd recommend the HAF 932. It's what I'm going to be grabbing for my new build (which will be very similar to yours, actually). [e digicons][/e]

The Kingmaker box contains the Premium Modules Kingmaker, Shadowguard, and Witch's Wake (the same three Premium Modules that are incldued in the Diamond Edition of NWN). They are not expansions. It's currently being sold as a premium module by Bioware, but considering Kingmaker provides not only the modules, but due to the "new features" Kingmaker expands on the original game.

This is a silly argument, IMO. NWN is a great game, yes, and the design of it, where you can get basically unlimited community content and new adventures is what's kept it going. And it's the game that I've spent the most hours on by far. But (IMO) the s
The book isn't bad. Gaider's a competent writer, so it's readable. But if for nothing else, the book's worth the read for the background to the game. More on topic: I'm excited about the game and will pick it up on release day (I'll likely get the Collector's Edition, actually), but I'm avoiding the trailers as I - like several others - think the marketing spin is... lamentable. But I have enough confidence in BioWare that I'm certain the game will be well worth the money.
I'm with the General: Firefly. Of course, the original Star Trek was awesome as well.
Batman is way cooler than Superman. Batman is better, hands down.

Aye, Marlowe, I'm 45 and I found Mass Effect wasn't too bad. The pause feature that FrostMage mentioned may just be the ticket for you. I also suggest giving it another look. It's not the best game ever made, but it's pretty damned good.
Mass Effect 2, Alpha Protocol, Dragon Age:Origins, Diablo 3, next Sins expansion, Elemental, and Divinity 2:Ego Draconis.
