The Orange Box- Great bang for your buck, won't be disappointed Risen- I haven't a clue The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion (I've heard a lot of reviewer praise, and a lot of player criticism)- If you are getting fallout, skip this, same thing minus guns Fallout 3- Great game, although near the end sometimes it feels slightly stale EVE Online- Tried the demo, figured I didn't want to ruin my life, and deleted it. You should stay

Well, I played my first Vasari game in a long time....I mean a LONG time...tonight vs a few hard AIs. I wasn't disappointed. A few things I noticed: 1. Their research seems very helpful early game...I feel a bit moreso than Advent...ie terran pop, enslaved labor, etc 2. I don't remember the Kortul being this badass. I mean seriously... 3. Egg still delicious. Desolator is now amazing at taking down planets with that ultrafa
Kol-like? The Kortul blows the Kol out of the water! I don't think it's bugged; rather it's just that 25 shield per second (45 at level 3) is pretty amazing stuff. This topic makes me wonder whether it's a better idea to get the Revelation instead of the Radiance to take the Kortul out of the fight Oh definitely. You might get some short-term results with the Radiance (you'd disable po

Wait, so the Kortul is bugged? Is the hotfix nerfing it? I was getting all excited about the possibility of a kol-like Vasari Cap :*(...

Well...looks like I might be playing some Vasari this weekend....I'm actually looking forward to phase gates and phase missiles.... Quick question....when you have a fleet with a marauder lvl 6 ability, can the entire fleet jump into phase space, or just the entire fleet minus the marauder (the marauder gets left behind)? I certainly hope its thet first...although I've never gotten it to work.

Darvin3, That's exactly what I wanted to hear about caps. It's good to hear they got a boost...maybe I can try them out again. Might be a reason to play Vasari.
I definitely like the idea of adding a "Cheater" AI, that would just be gross. I was also tossing about the idea of a "Juggernaut" AI that would start off with a small fleet, some research, typical AI bonuses, etc, with the idea that it'd be meant for one real hardcore player or several friends to take on. None of this is final, keep in mind, but I like the discussion of new ideas.
I like this idea, especially be

Thanks for the persuasions...keep them coming. Quick question, any additional comments or suggestions concerning Vasari capital ships? I'm so used to building a Radiance or Kol and letting it be the hammer of my fleet. What should I expect for Vasari?

Hey guys, just wanted some quick help. So for my entire Sins career, I've WANTED to play the Vasari. EVIL capital ships. BADASS phase gates. PHAAAASSEEEEEE space. I mean, why not? But I just can't will myself to play them. Now, keep in mind that I play mostly single player or team play against AI with a friend, so I really can use (and love using) capital ships . I used to play TEC, and loved their capital ships and fleet sizes. Recently, I switch

I think the real problem is the damage mitigation system. The devs made it so that focus firing penalizes a player, that way you have more fleet vs entire fleet combat instead of individual focus firing, which is more fun (and balance, in my opinion). However, this equation needs fixing. I think that mitigation should be a function of how many ships you have in the gravity well. Let's say its (#ofships

Good to hear a bit of assurance from the devs. Keep working hard at whatever you're doin'....I'm sure it will be great in the end. Time isn't making me stray from SINS...good games don't disappear of your HD after a few months.

I've actually been following this game for a while. I'm really interested in it...after "Battleships Forever", I've been looking for a good 2D space combat game. This one looks right up my alley.

For more information, I have an NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M, with the most recent dell driver updates. The planets are see-through, and all ship models are missing color and are generic grey with normal details. I've messed around with detail levels on all in-game items and this problem has only recently appeared with the new patch. Any ideas?

Um I have the same problem but I wasn't having this problem before the newest SINS update! Any other suggestions other than "replace the video card???"

Well apparently they had to revive him after the cardiac arrest. So you are probably looking at brain damage, massive heart scarring, possible coma, and most likely a downward spiral towards death.
