Pretty good, but falls victim to some annoyances. 1) Sova, not Sovak. Spelling needs to be worked on 2) I want more Vasari! :( 3) Those Advent power-armor things attacking the spaceport were out of character. Granted Advent things should be more powerful than their TEC counterparts, but that's just over the top. Only Vasari should have the tech to create something that strong, and even that is really pushing it. The more often you use a nearly-invincible unit the more
Quoting Mazuo, reply 2I'll admit I've been confused by the boost to accuracy. Short of some stats I read a while back about flak having a less than 100% chance to hit strikecraft, I've always assumed that all other ships always hit. So what does that increased chance to hit really translate to? Basically when you ships are mvoving and firing at ships that are also moving and firing there's a percent chance t
Oh, and FYI: Ion Bolt used on a Subverter cancels the effects of Distortion Field on your ships... just make sure you hit the first Subverter that used it on a group of ships (the second to use DF on the same group of ships really does nothing).
I find that SO annoying. Distortion Field shouldnt be a channeling ability
I agree, most ships need better survivability. Either new abilities for the Hokinshos, Overseers, or Guardians, or abilities for the ships themselves. I definitely think Reintegration isnt strong enough considering it takes your ship out of the action, and neither is Repair Cloud considering its short duration.
Interdictors! if they're not in already. I've never played the Vasaari much so..
They're called Subverters or Space Eggs [e digicons][/e]
It makes sense as far as the Vasari are concerned... Nano tech will allow us to build ships in that manner.
Whats the point of Phasic Cloaking? Why would you want to make such an easily replacable ship invulnerable?
Thats why I never assign ships to a fleet.
They should up the mitigation and shield restore rate. Cap ship armor should be 25% more effective at everything. They should deal frigate-crushing damage at least with their frontal weapons. When my Egg arrives in a gravity well I dont want the enemy to go "Fool! Focus on that ship!" I want him to go "CRAP! FOCUS ON THAT SHIP!!" They should be feared as a mighty force on the battlefield.
I like the idea of Planetary Assault Craft. Each plane can deal 10-15 damage to the planet per shot in squads of 5-3. Taking planets takes waaay too long as it is.
Did you actually right click the wormhole in the middle of the gravity well with your units selected? You might want to load up a new map and see if its just a bug
More ideas: 1) Subverters will not subvert an enemy where the AoE circle includes 50% already-subverted ships (unless subversion is made stackable) 2) Subverters will not subvert an anemy who is within AoE subversion range of another subverter who is about to use Distortion Field 3) No two squads of fighters will target the same squad of bombers unless there are more fighter quads than bombers 4) No two squads of fighters will target the same squad of fighters
Quoting Cataclysm2000, reply 25 Quoting ManSh00ter, reply 24 Why not then just launch big missiles... they would be even smaller and even harder to detect. Or better yet, why not fire a big laser at your big ship and melt it? And while we are speaking of lasers, since they don't need bulky ammunition, they can be fitted on fast-turning turrets and deliver point defense of such precision no amount of dodging would he
Select your fleet and press CTRL+0-9. This will bind the selected units to whatever number you entered so you can select them again by presseing the number
Here here! I propose a toast to this most wonderous achievement! Pip pip and a tally ho, old chap!
Lots of beta ship designes in there... I with they would have used some of thise. For the most part Vasari ships look like the tried WAAAY too hard.
I don't know the cost of the Advent carrier, but it is more. Also, the Advent carrier takes up 20 fleet supply, while the Vasari takes up 14. So, if you think about it, the Advent had 55*1.5 carriers to your 50 carriers. I should also note that Advent SC pop like flies, and the vasari do not. I don't know why you had 30 subs, you don't need that many. I also notice that you don't have any LFs. LFs counter Ca
Diesel. Seriously. Thats the answer. Until we run out of oil.
My fleet: 1 Space Egg 2 Carriers 2 Desolators 1 Devastator 65 HC 40 LRM 50 Carriers 30 Subverters 26 Sentinals 110+ Fighters Usually I dont even bother with Sentinals, but I knew the Advent had 55 Carriers. What I didnt know was that Advent get 3 strike quads per carrier. Not only that, but after doing some math I found out that they do more damage per squad than Vasari craft! Anyways, I won the battle (Duh, Vasari are unsto
I am also excited about the new expansion. But I am unsure of the new cruisers. They look too much like tubes. I am also tired of the russian names! Bleh. =P But the Space fortress and defensive upgrades are really nifty and I look forward to it. Especially the mine fields. I kind of hope that they'll eventually include orbital platforms and more upgrades for planets. One would think that you could build missile silos to defen
Get reintegration for your Enforcers. Forget about Assailants unless he spams L. Frigs, too. For tose 40 assailants you can pump out 20 Enforcers. 6 supply vs 12. Make sure you have Distortion Field for you Subverters. If you want another cap dont get a second carrier (unless the battle will be long enough that the first will run out of antimatter), get a Space Egg instead. Phase Missiles arent very effective against Heavy Cruisers. Sure they might ignore the shields b

Its the female Vasari. If the men are anything to judge by, I would run too.
Thats too many caps. I find 6 to be the upper limit of usefulness.
well seeing as how people with the expansion can prob. play against people without it, i think there might be new options, though it prob. wont be one check box, you can prob. manually diasable the entrenchhment feats..
Yeah, prob.
