Quoting NewHorizons, reply 9Both Advent factions have no new defensive nor diplomatic techs. It would be nice for the Advent rebels to have some new diplomatic techs, as they would be more inclined to cooperate with other races. The Advent loyalists probably should get some extra defensive techs as they would be unwilling to accept any accord with another race/faction. I think you have it backwards... Loya
Well the addition of Entrenchment helped the game alot actually, it organized your defenses into a defensive tech tree. And gave suicide positions in multiplayer a better chance at holding against enemies. Diplomacy had redone the diplomacy tree, it isn't to useful in multiplayer unless your eco wants to invest in getting in, but then you also have to invest in it as well which is kind of lame. And as for time length in multiplayer I would hav
It honestly hurt my eyes looking at the bright skyboxes
Alright yes we all know it is annoying but how has this portion of its ability been allowed for so long? https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/406975 TEC: Novalith Cannon Primary Effect: 3500 planet health damage, and 150 population killed. Secondary Effect: Cannot re-colonize for 2 minutes "due to strong bombardment raditation".</l

It happened to me as well.

Well Eta Sector Remnants is the name of the Vasari faction during the occupation victory. But this was not during that so...
Quoting ToJKa, reply 3 Advent (rebels, not sure if loyalists too) seem to have an additional third level of the "hardened cities" research now, that allows even asteroids to survive a hit from Novalith. If memory serves Vasari had nothing to mitigate bombing damage on planet health, though. I think that Hardened Cities always had three levels.
It has.
Advent Rebels will certainly play quite differently. I feel they are by far the most unique faction so far.
I've actually played both and to me both Advent factions play almost the same. All of their tech is unnoticeable, they need to give a visual queue for the Return of the Fallen/Reanimation. Wail fo the Sacrificed is probably the only actual visual for the rebels and even then it is hard to use optimally
No it wasnt. I just ran into it again and the same neutral name was Eta Sector Remnants. Seems to be a neutral faction problem.
I researched the ability, all went smoothly for awhile, but I arrived at a planet and the neutrals attacked me. Could not tell you why they did, but I was 7 planets away from my home world if that has something to do with it. I do not know if the name of them have to do anything with it but i'll provide it, Eta Sector Remnants.
I'd have to agree, having now finished a full game as both AI factions, they fell about the same, and also about the same as they were before. Sure, a few small things stand out, but far too much of what is changed is, while possibly significant for those super attentive to balance and from a number crunchers point of view, I find to be too passive to change the feel of either faction, especially the Loyalists. Basically, my opinio
So ive been playing the beta for quite a bit now and I have to say I do like the new subfactions, I am not disappointed in the game exactly. I am however disappointed in the fact that it seems more time was spent on the TEC then the Advent. And it makes me sad :c Anyways im not going to rant to stardock about how they are TEC biased which most likely is not true. But instead im just going to outline somethings before the Beta as done because thats what we beta testers are he
The Progenitor's 4th level shield and colonize is sooooooo good
IMO I think Mass Communion should go down a tier and be linked from the culture centre unlock research itself instead of the booster techs. Anyone else think that would work?
Culture has always been gimicky, especially for the advent. The TEC have trade early on, the Vasari can upgrade their Ore/Crystal mining at the same time, our economical device is culture which unfortunately doesen't do much except
Alright so im pretty much a dedicated Advent player, and i've always been a sucker for the necromancer archetype so I was naturally lured in by the design of the Advent Rebels. So im just going to go into what I think is good and bad about the Advent Rebels. ------------------------------ The Advent Titan has been discussed to death and I believe that its pretty unanimous, the ultimate needs to go or be reworked in some way. <a href="https://forums.s
Alright so I have a friend who wants to gift rebellion to me, I gave him the link to try to buy the game and he told me. " OK, I tried that link, I says I can only buy one copy" And we are thinking of ways to get me the preorder so I can get into beta. Does stardock have any insight into this or any forumers?
Thats a real shame the sounds really add to the game, but it cannot be helped.
The ability cooldown and the fact you actually have to kill the colbalt to get the ship isn't even worth it. You are just wasting time that way.
You would have to kill the Cobalt anyways, so time isn't really the problem here. And as I said this is in theory a ship that will pay itself off much like the Akkan can by taking units the cooldowns would eventually make the ship worth it yes? Can you take over cruisers or corvett
Well has anyone tried using the Corsev in an early rush strategy perhaps, taking over enemy ships early on might do wonders. As late game a single target ability like that doesen't work out so getting that implies getting it early, using the ability every time it is on cooldown, and amasing a small fleet of ships. If this works against militia that could of of interest as well. Think of it merely as an economic start by not having to build certain ships, if I take over 1 militia Cobalt th
500 million does not seem accurate for an asteroid broski.
Because right now it is severely anti-climatic the newer game modes have a lot of purpose and im so glad that they are adding them. The kill capital planet is going to be great for making multiplayer much quicker, and the others seem to get their goal across very well. But Diplomatic Victory is unused and severely boring, there is no real reason to play this game type. Is there any news on an update or anything?
