If you're unhappy with the quality of the AI, have you considered playing it in online multiplayer against human opponents (who are capable of actual strategic thought)?
Not everyone has the time to sit through a couple of hours for a multiplayer game nor every single game has to be a competitive multiplayer game. Oh gawd, please stop suggesting stuff to be overnerfed to oblivion. Just put a cap ship or 2 on the affected planet and it will slow down the culture spread a lot.
Hell no, if they implement any more caps on anything. I am done with this game. Cap ships and Titans are different. Putting a hard cap on superweapon is a lazy way out of an issue. Nerf Novalith a little bit and everything will be alright, but no, everyone just want to hardcap it. Come to think of it, whats the point of playing TEC Loyalist now while one of the most distinctive thing with TEC Loyalist is gone? Now, you want a hard cap on all the ships whic
Thanks for the new patch. Looking forward to get back to the game again. I still do not agree with the superweapon cap. A nerf on Novalith would be better so that you cannot destroy a planet without using your own fleet. EDIT: A BIG thank you for putting increased zoom camera in the game! I missed that feature.
I think putting it as one tech will mean that you'll get an extremely long and expensive research going. Instead, they split it to provide flexibility in the titan research such as: If Titan needs 4 Research: You can research the first level, then, research for better shields and get carriers. After that you do the second level of titan research to get Titan and so on. If titans need only 1 Research: You need to put every other research, such a Carrier Unlock, better weapo
I think the limitations on super weapons are not needed as it will severely nerf the advantage of TEC Loyalist. Instead, i think a nerf on the Novalith's damage is needed where it should not destroy an unprotected asteroid in one shot. Or put a hard cap that you cannot destroy a planet's occupation regardless how many Novalith you used on a planet, such as leaving a bombarded planet with 5% of the health remaining to put a penalty on the taxes gained by the owner. Or throw in
Does the Advent Loyalist Titan have that nice laser beam effect from the cinematic in the game? The one in the game doesnt seem to have the laser beam firing from the halo effect.
I think a toggle would work the best with this problem. In a single star game, i dont mind unlimited Novaliths, but when im playing a multi star system, i dont think i want to see that many. I still think a damage nerf or adding a tech to reduce the impact of super weapons would be great.
You dont have to worry about anything for now, as Steam will automatically update the game for you.
I think Novalith needs a slight nerf in terms of the damage. It is very difficult to counter a Novalith spam at the moment.
I think i find Pirate Scourge seems to fit them well.
No, Novalith is already annoying enough.
Please no, i wouldnt want more than 1 Titans. They are suppose to be a mega capital ship that is unique, not a ship that can be mass build. Titans are sort of in line with Dawn of War 1's Relic level super units where they are incredibly powerful unit than other units in the game. However, they need to be well supported or they will go down very fast too. I think Iron Clad did a good job with Titans so far.
What are the issues you are currently facing? How about trying this: Try to restart Steam, and see whether it updates when you have restarted it. If it doesnt, maybe try to do the following: 1. Right click on Rebellion Beta 2. In the Properties dialog box, go to Local Files 3. Then, click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache. 4. It should cross check your current copy with the file on Steam server. If there are any difference between the files
I think its a bug, when the AI pretty stops building any new frigates or corvettes in mid game, which put them n a very weak military position. Especially after they lost them after a major battle. I think this needs to be fixed as it made the AI to be too easy to be stomped in mid game. A fleet with frigates and caps, plus a separate fleet of anti structures will clear an AI pretty easily in the mid game. However, when they have done researching, they are incredibly aggressive.
As a start, i do play a lot of RTS, from C&C, Starcraft to Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation, so the original Sins turns out to be a little bit slow paced for me. Still do not let the slow paced gameplay stop you from playing as the mid and late game of this game is amazing with the large fleet battles and bombing planets to stone age. Sins has always been the only 4X RTS that i come back to every once in a while. If you have played Sup Com, the camera should just feel righ
I cant update my game, as im only sitting on 400MB of data left. :( Man, i want to get my hands on Advent. They are gonna be amazing to play.
It looks a lot like a Reaper without the tentacles. Still looking forward to Advent. Advent is my second most played race in Trinity.
With the .dev exe that you guys will eventually get, you can simply switch off zoom limitations if you so choose if you still want to get close in on things.
Thanks, Yarlen, i will use the dev.exe when the full game release. I love tracking a single fighter and see it fly everywhere. Alternatively, would be be possible to have Zoom Limitations switched off in the Option menu? With a big warning that it might crash the g
Usually Random with various sizes for me, but i think i should try some of the premade maps.
Quoting Cheesenium, reply 34That's 400 supplies gone on something stationary ???? I assume you mean logistical support which is fleet supply. Starbase's do not use fleet supplies....
Sorry, my bad then. I rarely build starbases as i prefer to play aggressively.
In that case, you guys know it's coming, ramp up your techs. When you play monopoly do you whiteout Go to jail?
Then, how you gonna build 40 starbases when you have 40 planets? Thats 400 supplies gone on something stationary, instead of moving fleets.
I do find it pretty annoying as the pirate ships tend to take up a lot of my supplies for cap ships. I think it needs some sort of ability to summon them, similar to Vasari's Dark Fleet at a fixed location. It can be annoying to find every stray pirate ship if you have 40 planets. For the insurgence ability, i think there should be a limit on how many insurgent to be spawned on a single planet. I saw someone's capital planet has more than 100 insurgent ships which can be a pai
Wow, Vasari titan looks amazing!
Stop asking and maybe the devs can focus on more coding instead of wasting their time answer these dumb threads.
This. +1 Just give the devs time to polish the game, as i find Rebellion is far more complicated than previous expansions to develop.
