Awesome Sin On!
Well, you can mod to toggle default autojoin to off for all ships. Every ship entity has "autoJoinFleetDefault" at the top of the file, just set it to FALSE and ships will never auto-join fleets. Annatar11, Could you give a few specifics? Where do you find these files, name examples, etc. Would like to try this but not sure how. Thanks, Sin on [e digicons]:star:[/e]
Yes that is the problem. They are joining fleet 2 but I don't want them too. I never want a ship to join any fleet until I am ready to form it.
Please make autojoin fleet "off" by default. This feature makes fleet creation extremely hard and results in way too much micro management. For example, you have a small fleet 3 in system C come under attack. So you send fleet 2 in system D to go to the aid of that fleet. Now the quickest route is thru system A, where you are currently building ships to send to the fleet 3 in system C. Well the problem is as soon as fleet 2 enters system A all the ships there join fleet 2. Now you have a mess
Is this accurate for the latest release or does it need upgraded.
Can't help you with the tutorial right now but will look at it. As for pausing the game in single player all you have to do is hit the pause/break key on the keyboard. Sin On[e digicons]:star:[/e]
You need to download impulse first. Then you can choose to enter a registration code. After that Sins will show up in your My Games tab in impulse and you will be able to download it anytime.
I think that would be a great way to do it. I mean really at one time was'nt half the world a colony of England, France etc... There are a many reasons to give up one's ownership of a colony/planet that could be beneficial to both sides. By allowing this transfer it would allow for a greater diplomatic part to the game. Okay I'm playing a game as Advent against a Advent and a Vasari AI. About midgame one of my fleets get attacked, no big deal my forces handle the attacker and I keep on. Then I notice that this fleet has all the ships showing as being under attack in the empire tree ( the icon's are all flashing red). So i go to see what is going on. There are no attacking forces in the gravity well and evrything else appears normal. Then when I hover over the ships, they all show that they are taking 1.5 dps
I've had sins also since it came out (actually pre ordered). Anyway when I upgraded the first time it definetely reset my achievements. When I upgraded to 1.5 I'm not sure since I had install problems and in that case I deleted everything and started from scratch. Still the achievements are just a goal so I just go back thru them I'm currently at about 70%. Sin On :HOT:
Hi Zwanglos, The achievements don't really mean much as has been stated. They are kinda cool to try to achieve but you should be aware that every time a new patch comes up they get reset. I was at over 90% at one point, then a new patch came out and well starting over. Anyway as a new player they do give you some goals so just have fun. Sin On :HOT:
Hi Avsari, The yellow tick beneath the planet indicates that there is an artifact at that planet. The White arrow above the ship indicates that this ship is the fleet leader and is the ship that the other ships in the fleet will form up on. Sin On :HOT:
You can go to this link and download a key binding card. Not sure it is up to date but he did a really nice job on it. [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/176969"]WWW Link[/link] Sin On :HOT:

My system specs are as follows: HP A6303W computer, I have upgraded to 3 gig of ram, running Vista 32 bit OS, Installed GeForce 8500GT with 512 meg video ram, this is an Intel E2160 Dual core @ 1.6GHZ, Acer AL2016W monitor. I have installed all the lastest NVida drivers from the NVidia website - GeForce 175 ver 175.16, in addition I have gone to all component manufacturer website and updated all drivers as needed. Now I know this is not an optimum system but it far exceeds all spec
Yes as has been pointed out you need to research (depending on the race you chose): Long Range Jumps or Distance Visualization. You might also want to keep in mind that wormholes will sometimes interconnect star systems and you will need to research the associated race's worm hole tech. Hope this helps. Sin On :CONGRAT:
Unfortunely you will probably have to live with it (at least for now). As great as the game is these issues don't seem to be going away. I've had the game since the day of official release. With the initial release these problems existed, although not to such a great extent, and have gotten worse with each patch. My system also exceeds the mins but that doesn't seem to matter. Actually I can play the game on my old laptop and it is just as fast as my desktop. Go figure, I love the game but espec
Just to the left of the structure menu is a little infinity symbol. Click on it to turn off auto place or click again to turn it on.
How can you tell if Auto join fleet is enabled? Whenever I try to create fleets they seem to do whatever they want. I usually create a fleet and then assign ctrl(#) to it. Then the next thing I know ships just start joining the fleet. In fact if I move out system with the current fleet to start forming a new fleet the next thing I know there are ships jumping around to catch up with the first fleet. So what am I doing wrong? Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. I'm
Hi diamont, Have you researched long range jumps in the civilian tech tree? SIN on :HOT:
I've been having some frame rate issues also and discovered that it was related to my update rate. when I go from 1X to 2x it drops a little but as soon as I go to 8X my FPS drops to about 5 and the scrolling is super slow. Go back to 1X and everything jumps right back to normal. Hope they fix this. I absolutely love this great game. Sin On :HOT:
I'm having the same issue of having to target structures manually in my current game also. It,s weird because this juest started. I play approximately 3 games a weekend and 3 or 4 during the week. Since upgrading to 1.03 I'm experiencing lots or weirdness. Is there a way to go back to 1.02 if you never had it installed? When you go to stardock it's not and option. Sin On :HOT:
